Who is your favorite character on TV now?

Choosing from current shows, who is 'The Best' or, 'Your Favorite' character in any TV show?

Right now my pick has to be Ian Mc Shane as Al Swearengen on HBO's Deadwood.

This guy just gets better week after week. He has become 'The guy you love to hate'!

When he gets exasperated over the stupidity of one of his employees, or some other camp member, his reactions and facial expressions are priceless.

He could literally (and almost does) carry the show on his own.

During the week I find myself thinking of various scenes he played in and it never fails to crack me up.

Right now, IMO, his work surpasses Gandolfini as Tony Soprano. who might have been my first choice a year ago.

So who does everybody like?

I really do like AL Swearengen from Deadwood though. As much of a prick he is, he really seems to care about the people around him. Funny as hell too!

I really like Linda Cardellini's son on E.R.

Just kidding. Put me down for Al Swearengen. Or Perry Cox. Or Lenny Briscoe. Or Silvio Dante. Or Gob Bluth.

Hell, now that I think about it, any one of the characters on Arrested Development would totally steal the show on any other sitcom.
