I'm not a fan of either political party, but I don't like the new "Doonesbury" turn this series is taking.

Would you rather them go back to satirizing The Phantom Menace 4yrs late?

I thought the episode was rather lackluster ... though the Futurama line garnered a chuckle.

this was a funny episode...

especially liked when Lisa asked Nelson what qualities he could bring to the paper. he says "I can make nerds cry" and Lisa replies "Great! You can be the Television critic."

I'd rather have neither.

Pretty decent episode with several subtle jokes. Loved the "nerd" line and the Futurama one to kick off the show.

Where have you been? They've been making fun of Republicans for years.

This episode was good up intil the ending, which sucked. I got a kick out of watching Mr Burns eat bugs.

That and the Futurama lines were the best.

My favorite line went something like this:

"Marge, we're gonna pull an all-nighter. Go make a pot of coffee. Then drink it. Then go make me some burgers".

All in all, a pretty solid season from this veteran.

To me, this was one of the best of the season. It's hard for me to look back and remember the best. But if I had listed the best, I suppose this would be right up there.

Pretty funny episode I thought. What I noticed though, was that they pretty much stuck to one plot line throughout the episode. With the exception of the rock statue in the first 5 minutes, but that still had a big effect on the rest of the episode. Hopefully this is a good step forward for the Simpsons, so we can get some more actual episodes. Instead of a 20 minute long string of jokes.
