Anyone who can finish the Ironman triathalon.

Personally I could swim the 2 miles easy....I would be done for by the 50 mile point of the 100 mile bicycle part.

After thats all done go run a marathon :jawdrop:

Gotta be Kobe. He'll wake up at 4:00 am and go do all his court shit and get to the game around 5. He still puts in 40 the same night. That is just incredible

He has always had a good work ethic, agreed.

But the court shit is because he has to (his fault that he has to), not because he wants to.

Chris Mullin was the guy I learned the term "Gym Rat" from.

Another vote for Lance Armstrong, or any world class cyclist.

Still doesn't change the fact that he gets it done and half the time he plays even harder when he just came back from court.

Going to court to face rape charges and playing basketball on the same day doesnt make you the hardest working athlete. And its not something to brag about or applaud someone for.

Roger Clemens to add another.

Ben Wallace

I could list SOOO many things about this guy that makes him such a hard worker but here are a few.

From an undrafted center who was too short to make it to the league to the Eastern Conference's premier big man.
The youngest of about 10 kids (and the smallest!) he learned to be tough because his siblings would beat him up on the court.
With a fallen heart after his mothers death he gave the fans what they wanted and played at the All Star Game in 03.

He is a physical monster benching over 500 lbs. Although being listed at 6'9, he actually measures at 6'6 (excluding the fro) despite successfuly guarding the likes of Shaq, Ducan,Yao,etc..

Barry Bonds is known for his insane workouts.

Walter Payton in his day

And there is NO WAY Ben Wallace is only 6'6", c'mon!

I dunno about now, but Karl Malone used to work out all year round when he was with the Jazz. Which is why he not only has huge muscles but he's also very fit.

Of course, that didn't help him stay out of the DL this year ...

Yeah but that was the first time in I don't know how long. Wasn't Malone still running up his concecutive game streak? He hadn't been seriously injured since early in his career I think. As much as I can't stand him for being an ignorant redneck he probably is the hardest working player in the NBA.

Out here Edgar Martinez is always mentioned as the hardest working player the Mariners have. That may explain why they suck so bad. Nobody works any harder than the DH :p They say he's always in the gym after the game. He probably works as hard on his fitness as he does at picking out his bats. He has his own scale to weigh his bat before he goes to the on deck circle :D

I am certainly not a fan of his, but Terrell Owens has a strong work ethic.

According to those VISA commercials, Derek Jeter's not one of them. He's always out partying. :D

From what I understand, Curt Schilling studies so much video on every hitter he has to face each night. Definitely Ripken, Kobe, Jordan, Lance Armstrong, Jerry Rice, etc...
