DVD Talk review of 'Elephant'

I read Matthew Millheiser's DVD review of Elephant at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=10444 and...

So why is the film called Elephant?

It's named after the British film from the director Alan Clarke (director of Scum). The film was released in the 2 disc French edition and is part of a USA boxset in July from Blue Underground. If you have seen the British film there is no chance you could imagine that the title is from anywhere else.

Incidentally, those keen eyed viewers of Gerry and Elephant would have noticed the charcters shot dead in the computer game in Elephant are wearing the same clothes as the characters in Gerry.
