A toss-up betwwen The Maltese Falcon & Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

The African Queen is his most overrated film.

Fat City, Wiseblood and The Man Who Would Be King are his most underrated.

The Maltese Falcon is about as perfectly directed a film as I can imagine. There isn't a wasted shot or scene in the whole movie. Not bad for a guy who had never made a movie before. It really is "the stuff that dreams are made of."

TSM, by far - though Houston's made a lot of great films.

I'd say Fat City is his second best.
