I bought the first season from Time-Life sometime last year. I e-mailed them a few months later and asked about future seasons and the response stated that they had no plans to do so.
I know the first season was released in stores this past February, but not sure if Time-Life were behind those releases cause I noticed the cover was different.
If the first season sold well, I'm sure additional seasons will follow.
I'd love to see the spinoff series, "What's Happening Now" eventually receive a DVD release.

I e-mailed Time-Life to ask about seasons 2 & 3 too, and got the same response Dan did. Hopefully, the Season 1 set will sell well enough for Columbia Tri-Star to release 2 & 3, but I wouldn't expect another release until Feb. '05, if not later.

I believe there were 4 or 5 for WH! and 2 for WHN!
I SO want more seasons of this show! I used to watch it religiously back in the good ol' days (the 80's), and I had a great time revisiting it with the season 1 set.

"What's Happening Now!" didn't have the same charm as the original, but I still watched it since I was a fan of the oriignal. And it had Anne-Marie Johnson. The show ran three seasons, as the original did but lasted one episode longer (66 vs 65).
The antics weren't as fun because all the characters were grown up. And since Dee was a college student in the show, they created another bratty, but far more annoying character (Raj & Nadine's stepdaughter).
I think the show was also the earliest appearance of Martin Lawrence, playing one of the cooks at Rob's Diner (now owned and operated by Shirley).

I love this show. I laughed my butt off while watching these again on dvd. It's just as funny now as it was when it first aired. I remember it got a little "silly" in the last season with Earl & little Earl. But still some good times. Hopefully the remaining seasons will find their way to dvd soon.
What's Happening Now wasn't as good, but I'd still welcome dvds from that also.

WHAT'S HAPPENING and WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW! each ran three seasons.
Most of the cast from the first series made appearances in the sequel, except for the mother. Dee appeared here and there but not on a regular basis. Rerun was written out of the show in the second year because he asked for too much cash.

YES YES, SEASON TWO IS COMING, HOORAY, HOORAY!
But one of my favorite episodes, the one in which Rerun tries to raise money to enter a dance contest, is part of season three.
