Bochco is threatening ABC that he will end it now if they don't stop editing out the nudity and language

Steven Bochco has threatened to make this the last season unless ABC quits forcing him to make edits in the episodes (such as partial nudity).

edit: oops, I didn't realize until now that MrX beat me by a minute.

Steven Bochco has threatened to end the series if the edits don't stop.

Who's turn is it next?

I just realized that I forgot that this may be the series finale, too. Steven Bochco has the threatened to throw in the towel if the suits continue to force him to edit the show. I apologize - I just got home and realized my mistake.

So Ronson likes the ladies. So Bochco is either:

A) teasing us by making us wait a whole summer to see the payoff
B) teasing us by dropping a bomb like that and not inviting Jessalyn Gilsig back for next season
C) teasing us by dropping a bomb like that and not bringing the show back

Either way, damn you!

Nice finale, but not great. Thread line still lingering with Baldwin & the kid & the kid's dad, bummer Junior has to suffer through yet another suicide.

I like the show just as much as ever and would hate to see it cancelled. I frankly don't even notice any "editing" and couldn't care less. (And Baldwin DID call the kid's dad a "punk-a___ b____," after all...)

This was a good episode, but it didn't really feel like a season finale, it just felt like another episode. Then again, that's probably because there was no cliff hanger this year, or nobody got shot. It looks like Baldwin and Michael's father will carry over into next season though.

I hope there is a next season. I thought this was one of the best seasons in a few years and it would suck if it didn't come back next year.

Boy the 13th Precent needs to get better DAs, have they ever won a case? I hate that the only cases that seem to win is the ones with innocent people are sent up.

Are the DAs in the "NYPD Blue" universe the most incompetent lawyers ever or what? I really wish they had sewn up the Baldwin storyline. It's pretty played out and needs to be put to sleep.

Also, I just realized that Major Austin (the kid who plays Andy Jr.) got screwed when Charlotte Ross quit the show, because showing Sipowitz's homelife became more difficult.

As for Bochco not playing ball for next season... who would have thought that one nipple could have created such a stir huh?

That was my first reaction when Michael's dad was found not guilty. Both this case and Rodriguez's case seemed to be fairly straight forward and easy convictions, but they both ended up with shaky witness testimonies and both end up not guilty. Actually, I think it's the 15th Precinct, not the 13th. Not that it matters.

Your right it is the 15th, but look back at older seasons and it seems like every time they show a court case, the DA looses on this show.

I was thinking the same thing about the DA's on this show

Good episode, but I agree it didn't fell like a season finale.

The Ballwin, Michael and Craig story-line seems like it will never end. And now Andy is involved in the damn thing.

I didn't care for Jessalyn Gilsig's character this episode - she came across as a complete moron.

Poor Clark - the guy can't catch a break. Hopefully they will reunite him w/ Rita next season.

This ep didn't have the feel of season finale at all.

I miss Charlotte Ross - having scenes at Andy's place w/out her doesn't seem right.

Aren't they supposed to use the Rita/Tony romance to bring Esai Morales back for a few eps next season. That is, IF there is a next season.......

I thought they might, but it seems as if they have pushed it aside. Who knows if they will bring it back or not.

He has a deal with ABC to star in pilot they are developing. If it doesn't get picked up, I would not be surprised to see him pop in from time to time.

FYI: A somewhat signifiant Blue character is now gone:
Here's who's gone:

I for one (or two) am really sick of the revolving door here...

Spoiler:
What the frig? Gibson just got the gig a few months ago, and they haven't even scratched the surface on possible battles with Sipowicz.

I think they kind of boxed themselves into a corner with Gibson. Basically they make the guy out to be a real goof for many years. Now we're supposed to buy that he can really run the squad? Say they continue to make him a goof, we're supposed to by that a goof is running the 15th. That doesn't make Martinez and Fancy look real good.

They're not the only one leaving...

Spoiler:
Garcelle is too.

[Not that it matters much...though, she was good as the occasional extra eye candy...]

Acc'd to tvguide.com:

Bonnie Somerville, last seen on NBC's In-Laws, will join the cast of NYPD Blue for its 12th and final season in the fall, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She's been handed the unenviable task of filling the void left by Charlotte Ross. And French kissing Dennis Franz.

Never heard of her.
