We got a portable DVD player for the trip the misses and our son are taking.

We got the Cyberhome 707B player. It was a model that seemed to get fairly good reviews and came with every accessory. Problem is it doesn't seem to hold a charge or anything. Even using the extended external battery that came with it, it shows four blank bars.

They have no support number and they're leaving in 1.5 hours. I guess thats what I get for buying a semi-no name brand but it's too late for that. Does anyone have a number for them or any ideas of anything we can do.

thanks

Sounds like a dud, can you take it back to the store and exchange it for another one?

I guess you are taking a plane, and not a car trip?

Moving to the Hardware forum... you might have more luck there ;)

I'm thinking it's a dud too. We ordered it online from walmart. The misses is checking the local one there now. Guess we'll see.

Definetly take it back, walmart is good about returns. Only problem is they may or may not have one in stock at your local store, but I bet they do mine carries (and sells) a ton of these.

Well our local one doesn't have them and the one in Fairfax, VA didn't either. She called walmart.com and taking it back isn't a problem. They did give her Cyberhome's number to call just to make sure.

Guess we'll see then. I just hope it holds out for their flight. 7.5 hours from JFK to Malaga, Spain.
