What's your best makeout music?

OK, I'm putting together a CD for a buddy of mine. His anniversary is next week.

I want to put together a collection that will guarantee him to get his groove on. Everyone help me out please!!!

They can be serious or funny, it doesn't matter. I just want to hear everyones thoughts....

Of course there will be Barry White...

Probably some Luther Vandross..

Seacrest Out..............

Prodigy - Smack My B**** Up

In all seriousness, I do hope your friend does more than makeout with his wife

I'll stop now.

Just throw some John Mayer - Body is a Wonderland and Dave Matthews - Lover Lay Down on there and all will be good.

The Cramps!! I don't know about that.

I've always enjoyed ambient stuff like Massive Attack. Mezzonine is a makeout classic. Tricky, Dead Can Dance, Air, etc.

We have two entirely distinct classes of music here:

1) Music to seduce by

and

2) Music to **** by.

Since I'm over the age of 21 (not to mention married ), I no longer require the first category. So, for recommendations on the 2nd, I suggest:

Pretty much anything by Recoil (Alan Wilder of Depeche Mode's solo "band"). Perfect bangin' music.

Tried and true - Enigma

For those easy lovin' sessions - any The Durutti Column. It's hard to categorize, but it's kind of classical guitar with an ambient/ new wave sensibility.

I remember my girlfriend really enjoying "Black Magic Woman" by Santana on hot summer nights (ah the memories hehe).

I also knew a girl who would go nuts when you played "In the air tonite" by Phil Collins (and I would be wearing earmuffs).

Moon Safari by Air is foreplay music.
Dubnobasswithmyheadman (specifically the track "Spoonman") by Underworld is boning down music.

Trip-hop and downtempo are great for getting it on. I recommend:

Beth Orton--Central Reservation
Massive Attack--Blue Lines and Mezzanine
Morcheeba--Big Calm
Portishead--Dummy
Air--Moon Safari
Lamb--What Sound
Mandalay--Solace
Everything but the Girl--Walking Wounded
Hooverphonic--Blue Wonder Power Milk
Sneaker Pimps--Becoming X
