-The Nathan/Lucas friendship. There's never been a good reason for them to be fighting and I'm glad it's moving away from that.

-The internet porn storyline. I think more than a few of us have been in Nathan's position there. What? Am I alone there? Anyone? Beuller?

-Keith finally standing up for himself and asking what the hell HE gets out of the bargain.

-Whitey!! "You should, you're daddy to half the team."

-The Chiclets commercials during the show.

Dis-Liked:

-Everybody wanting to leave town. Seems like there's gonna be about 452 cliffhangers over the off-season.

-Peyton encouraging Jake to leave town with Jenny. It just seems like that wouldn't exactly be the optimal choice for his situation. They need to stop beating around the bush and hook him and Peyton up already.

-Dan is a vile piece of worthless humanity. Is it REALLY necessary to make him to take the most evil possible route for every situation?

Random Thoughts:

-Am I the only one who thinks it would be VERY unlikely for all the stars on a small-town North Carolina high school basketball team to be white?

-The previews for next week look like a trainwreck of different storylines.

Spoiler:
The trailer for next week makes it seem as if Evil Brooke is back, and I am sick and tired of Evil Brooke.

They need to end the storyline involving Jake, Jenny and Nicki. It was okay at first as a background story, but I have had enough of it since they moved it to the forefront.

Good to see Lucas and Nathan getting along. Can't wait to see who Dan pisses of next. Good to see Keith stand up for himself towards Karen.

Hilarie Burton is gorgeous.

Well, WB has been notorious for making the previews look like one thing is happening, and then it being totally different when the show actually airs. That said,
Spoiler:
I expect the "betrayal" will actually be Brooke helping Peyton get back at Nikki, instead of the other way around.

Very true, and what you suggested would be nice.

I'm getting tired of the way they go about creating dramatic storylines:

Jake says that the lawyers advised him that the courts usually side with the birth mother. Okay, yeah, maybe if she didn't run off and leave the baby with it's father, then come back almost a year later, steal the baby, get in fights, knowingly contribute to underaged drinking, and then decide that she wants custody. Nice thought, but come on! And the whole story line of Jake and Peyton is now based on that?

Another example of crap I'm getting tired of:

Jake (In a rather calm voice): "You can't just do that."
Officer/Mall Rent-a-cop: "Sir! Calm down!"

It's the little things that are starting to build up and get on my nerves.

The show was just fine when it started out, and it didn't have quite so many twists. I can almost see the writers just reaching for the next sadistic idea.

Favorite Character: Whitey
Least Favorite Character: Jenny, little scene stealing tramp.

Perhaps we should start doing a "Guess the next twisted twist" thing, seeing as how I believe Antennaball and I called the
Spoiler:
Kieth and Deb shacking up thing.

Spoiler:
And did you see those nipples on Haley?

From the previews:

Spoiler:
I always figured that Keith and Deb would hook up. It seemed that Deb was always overly concerned about him. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that there is some history there. I didn't expect it to happen so fast. Of course, this is the WB. Maybe their clothes got soaking wet, and they fell asleep while waiting for them to dry.

I really don't expect Keith to leave. Maybe there's more to Whitey's health problems, and he'll decide to retire. Keith could teach auto mechanics and coach basketball at Tree Hill. He'll decide that he doesn't want to pull Lucas away from Karen, and figure out that running away isn't the right thing to do. Or maybe he will move and Lucas will go with him. If Lucas comes back in the fall, it will just be a Pacey and Joey sailing all summer kind of thing.

I'm sad that next week is the season finale. This is one show I'm going to miss. It's done a decent job of filling the void left by Dawson's Creek ending.

The whole theme of the show was running away.

I didn't actually think Jake would actually do it but I guess that that's a great way of ending any rumors about a romance between Jake and Peyton.

As always, the show reaffirms that Dan is a jerk. But it looks like he's getting what's coming to him next week.

antennaball, not only do I think it's unlikely that all the members of a NC high school basketball team to be white but they also have to be the shortest basketball team that I've ever seen. All of the guys are pushing 5'10" with maybe 1 or 2 guys just over 6 feet. How could they possibly be undefeated?

Here you go, next season's run down:

- Lucas moves away with Keith, joins a boy band and is killed by a psycho stalker.

- It is learned that there was a mix up at the hospital and that "Mouth" is actually the son of Karen. It is also learned; through a DNA test that Whitey is his real father.

- Whitey also ends up being the father of Brooke, and "Mouth" can no longer live with the knowledge of his incestuous kiss and goes into a downward spiral of drugs, alcohol, and banana creme zingers

- Everyone finds out that Dan had knowledge of all the previous events, but for reasons not yet revealed, he has been covering up for Keith, apparently he had something to do with all of it. Dan's angry demeanor and violent lashings out stem from the pain of keeping such dark secrets for so long, all for the love of his evil brother Keith, who we find out is actually a woman who was at one time a man and father/mothered several children that have nothing to do with the show.

- Jenny, due to TV logic, ages inexplicably rapidly and begins to fight crime with the help of her estranged mother turned nun, Nikki.

- Haley finally gives it up to Nathan only to prove that she has both male and female organs...and a grand piano.

- Jake and Peyton start a website with 24 hr. web cam access so that millions of people can watch them feeling sorry for themselves, and eating some of "Mouth's" aforementioned banana creme zingers.

- Tony Soprano make a guest appearance and enlists the help of Karen, a formerly trained assassin, in a hit put out on George Michael the now Czar of the Ukraine based banana creme zinger factory, for his involvement in getting the casino shut down.

And last but not least...

- it is realized in full, what a filthy whore Deb is...and those were her sites on Nathan's laptop...and she's half baboon...from Uranus...the planet.

Man, I can't wait.

'Cause Barry "Whitey" Corbin is their coach. He could take a team comprised of syphilis strains to the playoffs.
