I remeber awhile nic cage was going to play superman awhile ago then things happen and it was off, then it was on again.... does anybody know for a fact whats going on?

As far as the rumors go, Nic Cage was off the project years ago along when Burton was no longer attached to direct. We've seen a lot of crazy casting and director rumors, like Brent Ratner and McG, as well as Beyonce as Lois and Johnny Depp as Luthor. Quite frankly, it looks like there isnt much movement at all anymore lately on the project.

Don't hold your breath on this film. The wheels are moving on this project, but the wheels are moving in the wrong direction. What I suspect will happen is that it will get a BIG push after Batman...if Batman does well in BO.

Last I heard some British actor was to play Superman which pissed me off. Superman is not a British Superhero, and the chic from Hellboy was to play to Lois I forget her name right now. Jude Law (a Brit) has been rumored for the job. He plays a perfectly fine American, just see The Talented Mr. Ripley. I don't know if he's right for Superman, but he's definitely better than the other guy rumored: Ashton Kutcher.

Tom Welling is Superman...well he will be. Seriously he looks so much like Chris Reeve and has the physical stature for the part I don't know why they just don't wait until after smallville runs and cast him... of course welling has said he does not want to don the tights and only does smallville because it's Clark Kent sans tights

Where did you hear/read this? What I've read him say is the only reason he doesn't want to do it YET is the show's still going strong and for him to don the Blue and Red, he'd have to give it up which he and the producers aren't willing to do right now.

Reeve was born to play superman.... Maybe not the body for it but had the face of Kent and Superman.

I also thought Cage would be bad for superman. Superman never looked drunk and Cage always looks drunk to me.

Brendan Frassier is looks bad to for it.
