These rebates pertain to Trans World Entertainment Corporation Stores (FYE, Coconuts, Strawberries Wherehouse, etc.).

These rebates normally last for 2 weeks from the date of release(Some have run for only one week). These rebates normally take 6 - 8 weeks and they're good because you can send in the UPC Price Sticker instead of the actual UPC (full details on sending in the rebate on the bottom of this post).

If you need to contact Parago for whatever reason, their phone # is 877-266-6483. Press #2 for non-Staples rebates. Then press "0" to get a CSR.

NEWSFLASH: It looks like the days of $10 MIR are gone and the rebates will now be $5 or $7. However, you can still get the deals if your store advertises pre-orders (in some ways this can be better because you save a littlel bit on tax). They probably did this because more people sent in their rebates than they expected as a result of bargain hunters like us in this thread. Therefore, if your TWEC store advertises pre-orders, I'd highly suggest pre-ordering your title so that you can get that advertised price.

It looks like FYE has separate rebate deals for pre-orders and non-pre-orders (e.g. for Kill Bill Vol. 2 there are separate $10 rebates for pre-orders and $5 rebates for non-pre-orders)

NOTE: The prices are normally good for the first week (i.e. through the first Saturday). The second week the price may rise. The last 2 days of the rebate (Last Sunday and Monday, the price will almost always rise $2 or so....e.g. titles that are $19.99 will rise to $21.99). That said, the earlier you buy the item, the better.

This Week's Rebate Deals (10/12/04 - 10/25/04)

TWEC has cut down on the amount of their rebates. MY STEPS FOR SENDING IN YOUR REBATE (I've probably done close to 40 so far)
1. Fill out the rebate form and check off all products on the same receipt that are eligible for rebates.
2. Remove the UPC price stickers from the front of the DVD packaging and place them on a blank sheet of white paper and cut around the borders.
3. Fill out the envelope with a stamp.
4. Make 2 copies of the receipt (one to mail in, one for your records), a copy of the rebate form (both sides), a copy of the UPCs and a copy of the envelope
5. Get another sheet of blank white paper. Staple the left hand corner of the rebate form with your information facing up to the left hand corner of the sheet of paper. Cut out one copy of the receipt and tape that to the right hand side of the paper. Circle the prices of qualifying purchases and the date of the receipt. Tape the UPC Price Stickers to the bottom left hand of the white paper.
6. Make a copy of the white sheet of paper with all the rebate materials on it (write on it the day that you mail it out). Keep the copy for yourself
7. Place that original sheet (not the photocopy) in the stamped envelope and mail it out.

8. Parago, the rebate fulfillment company, will send you an e-mail once they receive your rebate submission which you can track at RebatesHQ.com (http://www.rebateshq.com).

9. Once you receive the rebates, make a copy of it/them and write on it/them the day that you received it and staple it to your copies for the rebate.

In regards to if rebates are applicable at all stores, this is db27's, a manager of a FYE store, response.
I would love to chime in! You spoke to Liam, who is ltrain here on the forums.

This is the definitive answer, no questions or issues this is how it is.

In transworld they have many store brands as you all know. Some of the stores run what are call FSI promotions (free-standing inserts) these generally apply to non-mall stores but some (few) are on the program as well. If you have a store near you that runs any type of flyer in the paper they are on the program.

As an example Stevevt, our Coconuts is on the FSI program, while neither fye in the Burlington area is. Thus promotions vary from one to the other.

Liam was correct to say that your fye reciept and the rebate form that you got from fye wouldn't work, because the store number on the fye reciept identifys us as a non-FSI store.

By doing the exchange and getting the Coconuts reciept you seal the deal and your rebates will successfully be redeemed.

Let me know if I can help out further.

Much thanks to misterchimpy for reporting the current week's rebate deals on Tuesday morning, lumberjack for his pre-order info, db27 for his inside info as a manager, and all others for their contributions to this thread

"5/25: LOTR: The Return of the King: $22.99 + Tax - $10 MIR (Also, if you preorder it, it comes with a free mini Aragorn figure)"

Wow! That's a good deal. Couple that with the hopefully $5 rebate for the EE in the TE version, it's a steal.

Do you know when the preorder goes into effect?

Great info.

man, missed out on that Master and Commander 2 disc MIR. when I went to the wherehouse they only had the 1 disc showing. lame. that star wars rebate sounds solid, but I will most likely wait till release week to see if anyone elses prices are lower. thanks!

I can tell you that as of now preorders for LOTR ROTK will NOT include the figure of aragorn, we got an email that told us to cover up the signage that supported this giveaway and were told that they could cover the existing pre-orders only.

Strawberries

They raised the price on Last Samurai.(d'oh!)

Last Samurai 21.99 - $7 MIR = $14.99 + tax
Girl with a Pearl Earring 19.99- $7 MIR = $12.99 + tax
Peter Pan 19.99 - $10 MIR = 9.99 + tax
Calendar Girls 19.99 - $7 MIR = $12.99 + tax
Osbournes 2 1/2 21.99 = $7 MIR = $14.99 + tax
Chasing Liberty 17.99 after rebate(I think this price is wrong..,it is 19.99 before rebate)

Box Sets

Bernie Mac, S1 36.99 - $10 MIR = $26.99 + tax
Party of Five, S1 39.99 - $10 MIR = $29.99 + tax
Gilmore Girls, S1 44.99 - $10 MIR = $34.99 + tax

In addition, Peter Pan had an on pack sticker promoting $30 in free offers inside, including 'free cookies'. Also, Chasing Liberty had a take $5 off sticker when you purchase that and one of the following at the same time, In Laws, Divine Secrets of Ya Ya Sisterhood, 2 Weeks Notice, Miss Congeniality, or Oceans 11. Both looked like non store specific promotions.

Not only had the Master and Commander 2 disc gone up to $32.99 instead of the original week's 29.99, every package in the store had a sliced case within the plastic wrap. Maybe that's why your store doesn't have it anymore? I had my store special order my replacement 2 disc and hopefully will have it by the end of the week. Anybody else see this damage on the box?

I just got an email confirmation for The Cooler DVD Rebate, and it only said $8:

Rebate: $8.00 Rebate Check
Promotion: Up to a $10.00 Mail-In Rebate on Select Movie Titles
Submission Type: MAIL
Date Received: 05-05-2004

Whats up with that? Anyone else's say the same thing?

Saw the same weirdness here. I sent in these rebates:

Kill Bill $10
Big Fish $7
WWE XX $8

The rebate for Kill Bill shows up as $10, but the rebates for Big Fish and WWE XX are only showing $7 and $5. Unfortunately, I can't tell which rebate is for a given DVD from the website, but I'm being shorted $3. What's the deal guys? Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow if I get a chance.

FYE best not pull a switch.

After I bought the DVD I di dsee a sign in the store that showed The Cooler for $15.99 - $10.00 rebate = $5.99 final price.

I just got an e-mail notice for what looks like an $8 Cooler Rebate.

I had one e-mail for $7 (either Love Actually or Haunted Mansion), another $7 e-mail, than one for $8. I remember sending in the three rebates for Love Actually, Haunted Mansion, and The Cooler on the same day. It looks like they are only giving me $8 for The Cooler, too. Granted, a $7.99 price is still good but when it says on the rebate slip and signs all over the story a $10 rebate, it is quite irritating. Maybe it's just a goof in their system.

I also received an e-mail ststing "The Cooler" rebate was only for $8 - not $10. I already contacted them and they want me to e-mail or fax proof (the original rebate slip) stating the rebate is supposed to be for $10.

Last Samurai was $21.99 at Coconuts and $20.99 at fye across the street in the mall (all before MIR) in Merrillville, IN.

Liquid Death,

I may be wrong but I do not think you may use a copy of a coupon. I believe you need an original from a store. You might want to call a store and inquire.

Perhaps someone could pick one up and mail it to you if they are going by a store anyway.

Nah, I just need a scan of one so I can email it to the rebate company to 'prove' it was a $10 rebate and not an $8 one. I've already submitted the rebate w/ an original form.

Why do you need proof? Didn't you already send the rebate form in which clearly states that it's a $10 rebate?

Kind of a slow week. BTW, my Cooler rebate also showed up as $8 instead of $10, I emailed them.

Strawberries

Scary Movie 3 19.99 + tax - $10 MIR
Godfather 14.99 + tax - $7 MIR

also, if you're interested in a cheapo DVD player, Strawberries had a "Coby" progressive scan player for $49.99 + tax - $30 MIR.

And I saw a sign for Cold Mountain 12.99 after MIR, shipping 6/29.

Godfather I: $14.99 + Tax - $7 MIR

I picked up:

In America: $19.99-$7 rebate
Independence Day: $14.99-$7 rebate

I checked The Independence Day and noticed the movie cash said "$1.00." I'm not sure what to think of it. On every corner it says "Valid for one admission up to $6.50"

Do they mean that you have a chance of getting up to $6.50? And some may get less? I don't know... maybe I am reading it wrong.

I got a reply back from the Cooler rebate about the $8 asking to show proof and mail in all my rebate materials again. Are they serious? So, i emailed back and said just look at the form I already sent in!

Plus I said they should just make the correction already. They've already got a few inquiries about this error, and they'll get a lot more. From a customer service standpoint, they should just issue a correction and honor the $10 as stated instead of trying to avoid the issue with each individual customer.

I'm waiting for a reply to see what they say about that. I doubt they'll do anything, but I gotta bitch. I don't like being taken advantage of. ;)

I picked up ID4 today and noticed they had a preorder deal going with Miracle. When you preorder it, it looks like it comes with a big Miracle wall poster (at least the one in the store was a wall poster). Might be similar to the Kill Bill poster. I went ahead and preordered, big fan of the movie and would like a free poster.

I just called my local FYE and spoke with the supervisor. She just to bring it in and she would honor the rebate difference. I HATE being taken advantage of like that and wont stand for it. She gave me a $5 off my next purchase because I was furious I had to spend on gas to drive there besides wasting my time with something THEY printed and THEY SHOULD HONOR!

sorry that you had a bad time with this.

these rebates are not redeemed by twec directly they are are run through an outside vendor that does rebates for many other companys.

this Cooler issue should have been resolved in a bigger way, seeing as so many folks got the 8 rebate vs the 10.

what the manager did was very nice, and normally at the store level we are instructed to escalate it to the rebate company.

okay, here we go

location = transworld stores (fye, coconuts, strawberries, warehouse, etc) it's possible not all are partaking in this.

there are 4 discounts involved here

1 - must buy the Scary Movie 2 pack and Scary Movie 3 at the same time.

2 - the two pack has a ten dollar mail in rebate

3 - Scary Movie 3 also has a ten dollar mail in rebate

4 - on the Scary movie 2 pack (sticker) there is a $5 MIR from from the manufacturer.

5 - TWEC is offering a coupon in-store only that is for $5 off instantly when both the 2 pack and Scary Movie 3 are being purchased.

as of right now, my store is offering these at the following prices

Scary Movie 1 and 2 (packaged together) $22.99
Scary Movie 3 $19.99

so in theory you should leave the store paying $37.98 plus tax after receiving the instant $5 rebate.

you then have 3 rebates to mail out for a total of $25 dollars

grand total is $12.98 plus tax

This is the first time in the multitudes of rebates that I have participated in that they want to pay less than what the form says. Makes participating in their future rebates less appealing. They havent fixed the cooler issue. Today they processed mine at 8.00

i agree this Cooler rebate thing is troubling. i was really starting to use FYE alot on these rebate deals. i can understand a mistake but they are still trying to screw everyone that doesnt complain out of their 2 bucks. you need to send proof?? look at the rebate forms every customer must mail in with their rebate materials. its no longer a mistake but a scam.

Yeah, this is preposterous. I might never shop at FYE(Strawberries) again because of this. It depends on how they handle it. I've just responded to their second reply, and am waiting for another response. They will not admit there is a problem. I cannot stand that mentality in our society, no one wants to admit a mistake anymore.

The instructions say to send in the original receipt, so since both were purchased on the same receipt, you have to send them at the same time.

The old thread had several people who said they did this sucessfully. Has anyone NOT gotten their rebates when submitting at the same time?

I'm reposting something that I posted in the first FYE Rebate Deal thread.

I added this to the first post which I update on a weekly basis. It includes the current rebate deals and future rebate deals.

7. Place that sheet in the stamped envelope and mail it out.

8. Parago, the rebate fulfillment company, will send you an e-mail once they receive your rebate submission which you can track at RebatesHQ.com.

9. Once you receive the rebates, make a copy of it/them and write on it/them the day that you received it and staple it to your copies for the rebate.

yes, that's exactly what I'm referring to. 90% of the time it's extremely easy to peel off. When it's not, just be more careful when peeling it off. Trust me, send that in with no worries. I've sent that in every single time (well other than my first FYE rebate)

You will have to send them a scan of the rebate form again. You can also just send it back in an email reply to them. Someone posted a scan of it higher up in this thread, so just send that in.

After that they DID honor the $10 rebate, the next day. They just changed the $8 to $10 and it's now in process.

Stopped in at a Wherehouse today (Glendora, CA) to see if I could get Paycheck for $10. However, they couldn't find any rebate forms for it so I left empty-handed. Was thinking of checking out another location, but it's kind of far and out of the way.

Just thought I'd put in a plug for Good Bad & Ugly...just picked it up yesterday, for $10 + tax after rebate this is a great deal. I didn't watch the whole thing yet, but from what I did see the print is a LOT better than the prior version that was out there(see the review section for more details). And they did a good job on the packaging too, with some movie postcards and a nice box. I'm usually pretty cynical about reissues(aren't we all???), but for $10 + tax this is well worth it.

Also, on ROTK, it looks like bestbuy.com will beat FYE, as they will have a $15.99 price with a $5 digital coupon if you preorder. Of course, you don't get Aragorn....

I took the day off from work today (actually, I'm off for 2 weeks to study for my CFA exam).

Neways, LOTR-ROTK is $19.99 + Tax - $10 MIR @ FYE as well. However, each store got like 8-10 Aragorn figurines so if you didn't get there as soon as they opened, they were probably out and they gave you the poster instead.

I believe that Buffy Season 6 was $44.99 + Tax - $10 MIR

Show: A Night in the Life of Matchbox Twenty: $22.99 + Tax - $7 MIR (at Coconuts, it was $12.99 after MIR....I can't remember if it was $22.99 - $10 MIR of if it was $19.99 - $7 MIR but it was probably the latter)

Another deal is if you buy all 3 theatrical editions, there's a $30 MIR; if you buy ROTK and either FOTR or the TTT, there's a $20 MIR (I don't remember the prices on FOTR or TTT)

I couldn't find Cheers Season 3 or Frasier Season 3 in the store so I don't know how much they are other than they have a $10 MIR

As others have reported, at both FYE & Coconuts as they're advertising The Hunter for Red October, Clear & Present Danger, and Patriot Games for $4.99 with any purchase. It's supposed to be the old non-anamorphic editions which had a price drop to $9.99 but the advertisement shows the new CE's which had a price drop to $14.99. I ended up getting THFRO & Patriot Games cuz they didn't have any Patriot Games CEs.

As always, I'll update the first post with all deals

FYE in Tysons (and I'm sure everywhere else) has Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the remake) single disc for $6.99 after $10 mail-in rebate.

The $10 rebate also applies to either the fullscreen or widescreen version of Rundown, but I didn't notice what the sticker price was on that one.

ROTK was $9.99 after rebate, and I got the teeny-tiny Aragorn figure. However, I did pre-order the DVD.

Now I just hope they accept these rebates. They've not processed a few of mine that I've submitted.

Also, The Good, Bad, & Ugly was still $9.99 after rebate at my FYE.

At the Wherehouse in Redwood City, CA:

ROTK was $9.99 after rebate, no mention of poster or figurine. In fact, they ran out of rebate forms and the manager had to print one out for me from the back office computer.

GBU was out of stock. Computer showed $27.99 before rebate but I question that because the cashier had no clue about the $10 rebate. They told me they would probably get some on Friday. I'll call before I go to confirm price and rebate form availability.

Happy hunting!

The ROTK form says this:

"limit twelve (12) individual titles per family or address".

What I'm not sure about is since this rebate form also is for SPR, Welcome to Mooseport, Buffy, Cheers and other LOTR titles, I'm wondering if it's one of each title or could you buy multiples of a single title and still claim the rebates for each one.

I would assume that the GBU form says something similar if it's a multiple title rebate.

When I asked the manager at FYE this morning why she only had full screen for Mooseport she replied full screen dvd's were what her customers preferred.

As I gazed at the new selection displays I imagine were filled not long ago I saw completely full displays of full screen but the widescreen selections such as LOTR seem to be more empty.

Could she have been <b> "LYING" </b> to get a sale? Hmmmm

One thing to keep in mind on ROTK, if you were going to buy the Extended Edition Box Set(which will have a $10 refund offer when it is released later this year, if you bought the theatrical version as well) is that with the 9.99 price AR, you can essentially get this version for free after paying a little sales tax. If you buy the extended edition version without the toy, you can still get a $5 rebate. On the prior rebates, you didn't need your receipt from the theatrical version, but you did need to cut the proof of purchase tab off...

Anyway, I see a sticker on the back of 3 I can send in. I can't tell if 1&2 have similar stickers since they are shrink wrapped with their asses together. Anyone know?

you can send in the UPC Price Sticker on front of the DVD. Please read the first post for all the details.

These prices are generally also good at Coconuts, YMMV at FYE, though the rebate form is generally the same one.

Generally, a good week for prices, mediocre content week. Spiderman and Pitch Black include movie tickets to respective sequels, those don't appear to be retailer specific. Also, a new preorder this week, Bad(der) Santa, 6/22/04, $9.99 AR includes free t shirt with preorder.

9.99 +tax AR

Eurotrip(Unrated) 19.99 + tax - $10 MIR
Spiderman(3 Disc) 19.99 + tax - $10 MIR(note: includes Spiderman 2 movie ticket, up to $12 value,expires 7/30/04)
My Baby's Daddy 19.99 + tax - $10 MIR

12.99 + tax AR

Monster 19.99 + tax - $7 MIR
The Company 19.99 + tax - $7 MIR
Catch That Kid 19.99 + tax - $7 MIR
Pitch Black 19.99 + tax - $ 7 MIR(note: includes Chronicles of Riddick movie ticket,good 6/11-6/27/04,up to $10.50 value)

Dukes of Hazzard, S1 32.99 + tax - $10 MIR

Just a confirmation that the Deluxe Spider-man set is $19.99 with a $10 rebate at FYE. Other deals for 6/1 at FYE direct from the form are:

Catch that Kid ($7)
The Company ($7)
Dukes of Hazard S1 ($10)
Eurotrip - 3 versions ($10)
Monster ($7)
Monster/Aileen 2pk ($7)
My Baby's Daddy ($10)
Pitch Black Director's Cut - 2 versions ($7)

You're right, it is a $10 rebate on My Baby's Daddy, for a total of $9.99 + tax AR, nitwits at local Strawberries had it mismarked.

Also, Spiderman movie ticket expires 7/30/04 and is good for one admission up to $12 value. Riddick ticket is good 6/11/04-6/27/04 up to $10.50 value. New material doesn't look too compelling though...

On Spidey or Riddick? Since I'll spend $7 on the ticket and there's a $10 MIR, I may just pick up the three disc and sell the two disc, but if the new extras aren't all that, I might just save myself the hassle.

Got my $8 rebate for the Cooler today. This is despite at least eight emails, two of which contained both scans of the rebate form. Hopefully other people will fare better - it just upsets me it took SOOOOO many emails (and time) to end up still getting the wrong rebate amount.

Grabbed Spiderman and Eurotrip. Even though I already own the 2 disc Spidey, getting the additional disc and the $10 mail in rebate and the movie ticket made it more than worth it in my mind.

I received my Cooler rebate today, and got an $8 check AND a $2 check. I sent them a scanned copy of my rebate slip, and while I never heard back through my e-mail, they did rectify it by giving me the $2 check. Hopefully the people who responded will get the $2 check to balance it out.

I got my Cooler rebate in 2 checks as well, thanks again to daa027 for posting the scan!

In terms of the extra material on Spidey, it looks like the regular 2 disc edition, with an extra disc of about half a dozen featurettes(costume design, etc), theatrical teaser trailer of Spidey 2, and a preview(probably a few levels) of the Spiderman 2 video game. For Pitch Black, they had a few features to fill in the back story(presumably to set up the next movie as well), preview of the video game, and preview of an animated Riddick movie. Anyway, mostly ads of various sorts, if you're going to see the movie anyway, depending on what movie tickets cost, you can probably 'trade up' for a few dollars net. I would have been more interested in 'upgrading' Pitch Black(a great Alien rip-off), but the list of stuff didn't excite me there either.

I had the same problem with my rebates. I had to fax them the original coupon as well as e-mail them scans of the coupon (thanks guys). I think in my case they confused the WWE XX DVD set with the other WWE DVD that week, so I was shorted $3. I was told I'd get another rebate check for that amount since the others were already processed.

There customer service definitely seems a little lacking, and they don't communicate anything to one another. I guess they don't make notes in their system. Just persist and it should be corrected eventually. I'm glad I kept everything.

6/22/04: Reno 911 (season one) $19.99 + tax - $10 MIR (bonus item, if any, unknown at this time)
8/3/04: Hidalgo $19.99 + tax - $10 MIR (bonus item, if any, unknown at this time)
8/10/04: Kill Bill vol. 2 $19.99 + tax - $10 MIR (bonus item, if any, unknown at this time)

And some other tidbits:
Home on the Range (Disney) due out 9/14/04 (no price or rebate information available as of 6/2/04)
Elf due out 11/2/04 (no price or rebate information available as of 6/2/04)
and…
The extended edition of LOTR: Return of the King shows to cost $29.99 (no rebate info available) and my FYE clerk, who is very knowledgeable, had read that it's coming in September. He himself is waiting for that title, so his claim may have merit.

I went to pre-order Tupac Resurrection & Badder Santa today and got a peak at tomorrow's rebate form. It's slim pickings:
Along Came Polly: $7 MIR ($19.99 + Tax - $7 MIR)
Mystic River Single Disc: $7 MIR ($19.99 + Tax - $7 MIR)
Mystic River 3 Disc SE: $7 MIR (My guess is that it'll be $29.99 + Tax - $7 MIR)
A-Team: 10 MIR (I don't know the price)

City of God will be $21.99 but it has no MIR.

I saw the sign for Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) Single Disc for $16.99 + Tax - $10 MIR.

I also saw a sign for The Rundown: $22.99 + Tax - $10 MIR ( I don't know when either of those rebates end)

Passion of the Christ(8/31) is 9.99 AR for preorders.

Here's a few other deals, by the way, wasn't the preorder price on Along Came Polly $9.99 AR? So, on some of these titles it may be worth it to make the preorder to guarantee the price.

$15 rebate, ACP + 1 other Ben Stiller title

This is another FYE rebate. I don't know whether this can be combined with their standalone ACPolly rebate, local store was clueless. If they are combinable, it would actually be a pretty good deal.

Buy Along Came Polly and 1 of the following titles and get a $15 mail in rebate: Zoolander, Keep the Faith, Reality Bites, Duplex, Ben Stiller Show, Meet the Parents, There's Something About Mary

$5 Mystic River + 1 other Clint Eastwood title

This does NOT appear to be FYE specific, it is an on pack sticker. However, only some of the DVDs that I saw had the sticker(and presumably the mail in form), so if you are interested in this, look for the sticker. Also not sure whether this can be combined with the FYE rebate, but probably can.

Buy Mystic River and 1 of the following titles and get a $5 mail in rebate, Bloodwork, Unforgiven, Sudden Impact, Bridges of Madison County, Perfect World, Outlaw Josey Wales.

Also, A Team,S1 was $42.99 + tax with a $10 MIR

Asking the same question multiple times in multiple threads isn't gonna get you the answer any faster. I'm not at my computer 24 hours a day.

This is what I posted in the Simpsons thread:
I must've answered every one of these questions in my thread at least 100 times.

Read the TWEC Rebate Deal Thread that I maintain for details. The first post is always updated. I even posted a 9-step process in sending out the rebate form.

1) You can use the price sticker UPC instead of the real UPC
2) You can used the real receipt, a photocopy of the receipt, or a register reprint of the receipt.
3) You can use one rebate form for all of your items (Damien, I don't know why yours wasn't approved but if you made copies of them, a simple e-mail/phone call would've fixed the problem cuz you could've faxed it to them).

Look, if you guys don't believe me, then don't believe me, just don't ask the same question again and again and again. Remember, reading is fundamental, which means read through some of the thread before you ask the same question again.

**MAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING BEFORE SENDING REBATES IN**

Note: I don't work at FYE, I just buy tons of DVDs there (pretty much at least one every week cuz of the rebate deals). I've done over 50 rebate deals thus far and many of them were done on the same rebate form.

to my knowledge, there is no rebate for season 4. The only incentive for season 4 is the Homer Simpson Talking Bottle Opener.

Simpsons 4 doesn't appear on the regular rebate form for this week. It is possible that it's on a separate rebate form but unlikely since it's not advertised in the flyer with a rebate.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but I didn't see it on the first post. They've extended the rebates for Kill Bill, Vol 1. and the Last Samurai (FF & WS) until 06/30/2004. Each movie is $19.99 + tax ( minus $10 rebate ). If you missed out last month, get in now. :)

In regards to if rebates are applicable at all stores, this is db27's response, a manager of a FYE store.

According to the flier in this morning's paper, Coconuts has either season of 24 for $39.99 less $20.00 MIR.

Does this vary by location? I called the local Coconuts (Cary, NC) and was told season 2 is $59.99 (on sale from $69.99) - same deal as FYE. I don't get the flyer so I cannot check it myself.

it may vary by location. The NYC region flyer had it priced like this.

Try calling up that store again and asking them if they have an advertisement for this week and to see if it's priced at $39.99 in the ad. If they don't have the ad, ask if it's possible to scan the item because you were told that it was on sale for $39.99.

$19.99 + Tax - $10 MIR

If you pre-order it (I think by Saturday or Sunday), you get a free t-shirt when you pick up the DVD.

I called another store but they were sold out and couldn't check the price (computer down). They both told me that their ad prices end Wednesday, and the first guy seemed rather surprised that season 1 was still on sale.

I also got only $8 back for the Cooler dvd. I sent email to rebateshq.com and also fye.com to complain. I had also faxed them the form when I originally got the email. Anybody get the full $10 yet?

Someone claimed to have gotten an $8 check along with a seperate $2 check. I am in the exact same boat as you-I faxed them the rebate form and I still only received the $8 rebate check.:(

I had faxed them the form right after I got the email. Emailed today, got a "canned" response to fax them the form. I replied that I had done that already and they replied back that it takes 7 weeks for them to process the faxes. It only took a couple week s to process the original submission!

it's highly likely. all high profile releases have had $7 or $10 rebates lately.
