Worst Decade for Movies?
Sorry if this has been covered before, but thought it might be interesting.
So what do you all consider the worst decade for movies? This might be a bit subjective, as there are likely many who haven't seen a movie made before Pulp Fiction, but let's give it a go anyway.

I vote for the 2000s because the seemingly endless production of bad sequels and bad remakes is already on a pace to top the 90s.

The 80's. The only reason it is beloved on this Forum is because of the nostalgia factor. When you think about it there were some really bad movies in the 80's.

Yeah, I guess I can understand the nostalgia thing (to some degree), but these were just horrible movies that were mainstream releases. Although Vin Diesel movies alone may cause me to rethink my vote to 2000s.

I dunno, I can name more movies I like from the 2000s so far than I did from the 90s, and more from the 90s than I did from the 80s.. But from there it builds back up again (Save for the 1950s).
So I'll just whim it on the 80s.
90s saw a lot of regurgitation but it had some excellent stuff thrown in there. And the 2000s house some of my favorite movies (Mulholland Drive, Memento come to mind).

I guess to be totally fair, it'd be hard to vote for the 50's or 40's (or earlier), since most of us weren't going to the movies back then. So maybe this poll should actually be: "Taking the best movies from each decade, which is the weakest decade?" Seem reasonable?

Sure there's crap in every decade. We only reguard the '30s, '40s, and '60s so much because these days people ONLY watch the BEST films from those decades and don't bother with the crap. But taking only the BEST films of the '80s puts it firmly in last place

The further back you go, the more people forget about the crap that was produced and only remember the good stuff. It's like music from the 60s, everyone only remembers The Beatles and Stones, people don't think "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, I Got Love in my Tummy". Every decade had or has its share of crap and every decade has its share of good stuff.
