The X-Files 2 a GO!

Well, IMDB has officially announced "The X-Files 2" as in-production for a 2006 release date.

Loved the first and I'll be there for the second - great news.

I'm surprised they got Duchovny back. I'm sure he could retire quite nicely with all the royalties from Connie and Carla.

I was sure he did Connie and Carla because of Playing God.

Actually - I think it's safe to say they are still early in pre-production mode...even though IMDB says production. I imagine they are working on getting David and Gillian signed before a more "official" announcement from Fox is made.

Reports from the set indicate he has a short cameo, where he says "Hey Scully, I'm off to the Bahamas!" and doesn't appear again. He is replaced, however, by his FBI agent cousins Coy and Vance Mulder.
