I have always thought that the DVDReview site is very well done and fairly comprehensive. What has always baffled me, however, is the lack of reviews for any of the Star Trek Special Edition DVDs.

As each feature film has been re-released in 2-disc Special Edition form, I have periodically emailed them to ask if a review is forthcoming. For the Director’s Edition of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, I was told that no DVD was “available for review.” For Star Trek IV, I was essentially told that their time was precious and every DVD release cannot be reviewed. For any other email I have sent, I received no reply whatsoever.

Is there something more “sinister” going on over there? While I agree that not every Star Trek feature film necessarily warrants a review on their site, surely the most successful Star Trek feature film of all time does (that being Star Trek IV). And what about Star Trek VI? They have reviews for II and III, but those are reviews for the single disc editions. What gives?

Uh... I guess you should raise this issue with the folks at DVDReview. You could also write some reviews and submit them, I guess.

But this isn't really an appropriate topic for this forum. Closing thread.
