Wireless Audio?

So... with the wireless boom lately, it seems like there should be a fairly good, inexpensive solution for this.

Basically, I woud like to run sound to my home theater system from my computer in another room (so that I can organize various playlists, etc) and play them throughout the house.

My computer has a wireless card if that's an option (though I don't think there are systems that take a connection to a wireless hub...yet) but more likely I should be able to use the headphone / rca out jacks on the computer, go into some sort of transmitter, with a receiver hooked up to my home theater system.

I know there are some cheap ones out there that go on radio waves, but don't know how good they are or what to look for (line of sight is NOT a possibility here).

I would alse be interested in hearing about wireless speakers or adapters that could be put in a room other than the one where the home theater system is located.

Tips?

Found this:

Seems a little pricey at $199, but probably good quality and possibly worth it.

Edit: Maybe nto so pricey, considering it offers a lot more than what I was originally looking for... remote control from the other room... that would be sweet.

Anyone have any experience with this or similar items?

Yes but I use X10 to control the lighting in my theater not to transmit sound.

But their stuff is pretty good quality? I'm wondering what sort of loss/distortion may come from using this to transmit sound / video (though I likely won't use it for video)

Lighting controlled by remote... hadn't thought about that one yet. Thanks.

interesting.. i'd never heard of X10 before, but i'd love to be able to control my dimmers via remote when watching a movie. some questions:

which of their products allows you to do this?

does this only work with lights that are plugged into the wall, or does it work with hard-wired lighting as well?

any other input you may be able to give on them would be great. thanks!

Here you go

I have ordered alot of things from this catalog. It depends on what you need to control and how you want to control it.
