Do you own a Widescreen TV Set?

Don't include Portable DVD players with Widescreen screens, or computer LapTops with Widescreen Screens.

Only 20" or higher Widescreen (16x9) TV Sets, Plasma and Etc. included.

Yep.
Just bought my 47" Panasonic about two weeks ago. I've been wanting one for a long time and I found a deal at Costco that I just couldn't pass up. Now I'm in the process of going back and rewatching a bunch of my movies to see how much cooler they look compared to my old 27".

Not yet.

Getting married in October so it will be after that.

The good thing is the new Samsungs will be out by then and they will definitely be at the top of my list.

Yes, the 50" TH50PX20UP Panny Plasma Consumer Model.

It is my second favorite material possession (second only to my car). Third is, of course, my DVDs.

I want to get a widescreen TV. But not sure if it's wise to spend so much money in a TV. My current 32" analog TV is breaking down (see my other post). So I may be forced to get a new TV anyways.

I was in the market for a while, and was deciding between Toshiba and Mitsubishi, then DLP came out so I got interested in that, which also increased the prices...but now I'm expecting my first child so the $$ prioroties have shifted. If I can't afford one this year, I'll probably budget it for next year.

I just bought a 57 inch Toshiba. It was just delivered at my house yesterday, but I won't be able to go home until Friday night. The wait is killing me. This is the slowest week in the history of my life.

No, but I plan on buying one when I can afford it.

Unfortunately, I'm a grad student, and that's likely a few years off.

I'll probably wait until I have a house as well, which will bump it back even further.

Cross my name off the list as a widescreen TV owner. I just found out that my 57 inch Toshiba got in a car accident yesterday. It never got delivered to my house. The delivery man was hurt and that is all I know. I'll find out what shape my TV is in on Friday. I may have to order another one from the way it sounds. I know I should feel sorry for the delivery guy, but I don't. I'm ticked off that my TV isn't coming.

If it doesn't look as good as it should and you would like to learn how to make it shine just go visit the Hometheaterspot.com. It's helped me and plenty of others bring our Mits to 90% of the level of a pro calibration.

Oh and count me in as having a WS set. No HD yet but I wanted a large screen just for watching DVDs in their OAR with great PQ.
