DTS ES discrete capable?

I'm looking at getting a new receiver. When it says it has DTS ES does that always mean discrete? How can I easily tell as most product descriptions don't seem to make a distinction between discrete and matrix?

If the receive says it decodes DTS-ES then yes it will do discrete DTS as well as the matrixed ES as well.
