Why oh why, redo-ing Porky's

Scribes for "Porky's" remake hired

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Craig Moss and Steve Schoenburg will write a remake to 1982's hit cult comedy, "Porky's," with Howard Stern and Larry Levinson executive producing. The project is being setup at Gotham Entertainment Group. A distributor has not been selected yet, nor has anyone been cast.

It is unknown how much of the original version will remain in the modern remake. The original film had a budget of about $4 million but ended up grossing over $100 million. The film also produced two sequels, "Porky's 2: The Next Day" and "Porky's Revenge."

Is there any need to touch this classic 80's teen sex cinematic masterpiece? Don't even mess with Pee Wee, Wendy, Meat, Tommy and the shower scene, Buellah Ballbreaker and Lassie.
