How would you rate the LAST SEASON of FRIENDS?
OK, Friends fans, (and I know you're out there due to the number of people buying the season sets):
How would you rate the final year of the show?
Is the show going out with a bang?
Or are there so many repeats you've lost interest?

I've missed 3 or 4, but the ones I"ve seen have been hit and miss...A couple of really good ones, and then a couple of terrible ones.
overall I would give it a 6 or so....though I'm hoping the last 3 will be really good and boost it some

I have to say HORRIBLE because they completely lost me with seemingly months of reruns. I never know/knew when they were actually going to show a new episode and I stopped watching at some point.

After watching the show religously up until the middle of last season (which was horrible), I'd say the five or six episodes I've seen this season have been equally horrible. Friends should have ended when Rachel had the baby...since then, it's been pretty sub-par.

The month long of "best of..." episodes really tossed folks for a loop.

This season was okay, but it was obviously written with a lot of filler since the writers had to postpone the finale after season 9. I'm mostly annoyed that NBC has show every aired episode of THIS season at least twice already!

So, is this week's episode at least new?
This season hasn't been on par with other years. A lot of the plotlines just haven't been working, and you can tell the writers are going to cram way too much stuff into the remaining episodes.

I'd say 6-7. This season started off quite bumpy, but the last few episodes have made up for the lackluster start.
The beating us over the head that Joey is dumb this season, is getting quite tired.

The humor is still there, but the stories just don't interest me anymore. At this point I watch strictly for the laughs. There is just too much of a sense of inevitability in the overall season at this point. We KNEW Monica & Chandler would get the kid somehow, we KNEW Phoebe & Mike would get hitched, we KNOW
. Not that it's a bad thing, this is a show that's designed to ultimately please, not disappoint it's fans. And that's fine. But it also means that no time left = no room for pulling a fast one on the audience.

If you ignore the nonstop ads, magazine articles, hype, etc. (which I have been able to do pretty successfully)... this season has been not too bad. It's a noticable improvement over the mediocre, poorly-written, and pretty unfunny past few seasons.
Not great, definitely not vintage Friends... but it sends the show out on a decent note. I've never thought that Friends was an amazing show and I have no interest in buying the DVDs, trivia books, and whatnot and reliving every episode over and over... but every episode this season has given me a couple of solid laughs and a decent number of chuckles. There aren't too many current shows that can do that.
6 or 7 / 10.

It's been so long since I've seen a new episode that I've almost forgotten any of the dangling plotlines to really care about these last 3 episodes. But thanks to the NBC promo department, I've seen almost all I need to see because they pretty much tell the viewer what will be going down.

I'd give it a 6/10. There's been more so-so episodes than good episodes. The shortened season also isn't helping because some of the story lines just haven't worked that well and felt kind of hurried. I think the last 3 episodes will feel kind of rushed and the end will seem abrupt, epecially since it's been a long time since the last new episode.

I say 7-8. The hits have been really good ones and I'm a sucker for Ross and Rachel. I think it's gonna be a great finale.

I think Mike (Paul Rudd) is the only real character on the show anymore. I don't say real person, because even he doesn't necessarily resemble a real person, but at least he's pretty consistent to his character and funny from time to time. The six regulars have become mere excuses for exagerated jokes. The last two seasons, and this one so far, have felt like the writers have brainstormed on lame jokes, then decided 'hey, who would be most likely to do this?' and stuck them in, whether they match the character or not. The sterling example of this.... I'm sorry, Joey's always been 'the dumb guy', but he's always had a heart and never used to be soooooo dumb that he felt like a looney tunes character. The episode where Phoebe tried to teach him French made me almost wish I'd never heard of the show. I'll watch the last couple episodes out of morbid curiousity, but I have the first 4 seasons on dvd and, most likely, those are the only ones I'll ever own. And I have a serious addictive-collector's mentality.
