Song which has appeared in the most movies

What song has appeared in the most movies ?

whether it appeared on the official soundtrack or not doesn't matter as long as the song appeared in the film

2 Unlimited - 'Get ready for this' seems to be in a lot of movies

For more recent movies: Outkast's Hey Ya! They need to not use that in a movie anymore.

That music used in Excalibur when the Knights makes their final ride to fight Morgana and her son. Is it a Wagner piece?

Nah, you have to pay to use that. The real winner is probably the royalty-free "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow."

I'd say either "Ride of the Valkyries" or "O Fortuna", one of which was the song in Excalibur, as Giantrobo mentioned. (Haven't seen it in a long time, can't remember which one was in the movie)

Both of those are played ALL THE TIME.

"O Fortuna" from "Carmina Burana" - Carl Orff. It appears in trailers more than in actual movies. Other than Excalibur, the only other movie I can think of that had it would be The Doors.

As for Wagner, "Flight of the Valkeries" has been in more than a few movies. Not a song, though.

But another one for "O Fortuna" - beginning of Jackass: The Movie.

There is a section in Roeper's book about this.

Spirit in the Sky was up there.

All Star was too.

Agreed. I saw the preview for "50 First Dates" and it sorta ruined the song for me. Here they are playing this song, and Adam Sandler doing his stupid "arrghhhhh" and falling off a boat or something like that.

If I hear "Imagine" in one more movie...

Also, the whole "I Will Survive"/"It's Raining Men" ironic disco thing is very, very played out.

"Suite from Carmen"

You've heard it in:

Trainspotting
There's something about Mary
Don Juan DeMarco
Streetfighter:The Movie
The Hudsucker Proxy
Girl 6

Possibly more.

Beyonce brought it back in that pepsi commercial.

"Bad to the Bone" and "Born to be Wild" are used in just about every movie where the skinny nerd finally decides he's not going to take it anymore or when he changes his image to become one of the cool kids.

"I Feel Good" is used in every movie where anyone has ever felt good. I could never hear any of these songs again and I would feel very good.

This song provides a good segue into "My Girl", which can be heard in almost every movie featuring "I Feel Good".

In trailers, if it's not classical, Blur - Song 2 (aka the WOO HOO song) is king!

"Ain't No Mountain High Enough" seems to be in every movie where a Motown singalong is in the script.
