Auditon Germany version -- where to buy in Munich?

I am visiting Munich, Germany for a couple more days, then back to NY. Does anybody know where I can purchase the dvd of Audition (Takashe Miike) published by Rapid Eye Movies? I read this has the best PQ and audio of any versions out there.

Are there any stores in Munich that have this DVD?

I don't know any DVD shops in Munich, but the "Audition" DVD is OOP, so it could be hard to get one. It isn't available from the shop of rapideyemovies.de.

Try big warhouses like "Karstadt, Saturn, Media Markt, Pro Markt, HMV (? don't know if Munich has one), may one of these shops has one.

You could try WOM (World Of Music), a store like HMV, Tower etc. located in the center.

You can find many DVDs for less than 10 Euro and even more for 10-15 Euro.

Thanks for the sugesstions regardring stores. I have one more week in Munich and will pick up more DVDs -- just got "It's all about love" (14 Eruo) and American Pyscho (8 Euro, more extras than R1).

Are there any must buy DVDs in germany that would be hard to get in the US? Need to pick up more...

Metropolis (Lang) - the german edition includes the original intertitles.

If you are a fan of Werner Herzog there are some nice editions in Germany that have features that aren't available on the R1's

Fitzcarraldo - includes Burden Of Dreams documentary as part of the 2 disc set (rumours of a Criterion release in R1 at some point though)

Woyzeck - includes the La Soufriere documentary film.

Cobra Verde - includes the documentary film Location Africa

Hmmm. DVD Times announced that Tartan Video is prepping an "Audition" CE for June (along with "Infernal Affairs")...

Arriving the same day [as "Infernal Affairs"] is a new Collector's Edition release of Audition. Miike Takashi’s cult shocker was one of the first titles to launch the Asia Extreme label. Now it’s been given the remastered treatment with a new anamorphic print; newly created subtitles, and a specially prepared 5.1 track with Dolby Digital and DTS options.

Have to say if it was Artificial Eye releasing the disc in the UK i'd be filled with a bit more optimism...the fact that it is Tartan means i'm extremely sceptical about the outcome.
