I'll agree with the majority and go with Magic. I think it's pretty safe to say that there hasn't been anybody better since. I wouldn't know about before.

Magic, Stockton, Bird.

I can argue that Stockton played 6 full years beyond Magic's career. Oh, and Stockton is second all time in APG. Behind Magic. :D

Stockton played in 1504 games... Magic played in 906. If Magic had played 1504 games, he'd have 16844 assists. Now compare that with Stockton's career 15,806. :)

Also consider that the only all-star that Stockton ever played with was Malone and Magic had plenty others. Also consider that Magic's career turnovers were 3.87/game and Stockton's were only 2.82/game.

I think, then, that we can all agree that making a "best" argument based solely on statistics is arguable. :D

Also consider that Magic was a flashier passer than Stockton.

comparing Magic to Stockton is like comparing apples to oranges.

I'd pick Magic.

Jason Williams does have some ninfty stuff though

As far as lesser known college type guys, I would have to agree with you about Gottlieb.

If he could have shot the ball at all he could have had a very nice NBA career. His free throw shooting was on par with Shaq though... not something you want in a PG.

Best flashy/streetball passer is without a doubt, Rafer Alson AKA Skip to my Lou.

That guy is plain ridiculous. Just watch some And One videos to see what I'm talkin' about.

I'd argue that Hot Sauce is the best at that in the And One crew.

Other than that, the best passer is me, if you know what I'm sayin' ;)

Jason Williams can't pass, but he can carry the ball, take an extra step and make the crowd go wooooo all in one motion.

Magic.

And since no one has mentioned Oscar Robertson, I will.

1. Stockton. I don't think anyone has ever had a better read of the court.

2. Magic
3. Jason Kidd

Hot Sauce does the same move over and over again. His handle is ridiculous, but I still think that Skip's is better. Plus, Skip is a better overall player, he's in the NBA, and he was the one that started the whole street ball craze.

Hot Sauce definitely has the best hair. I was dyin' when he got that hair cut and said that he looked like the Ladie's Man.

Stockton of course
Jason Kidd
Jason Williams
