"I think he's technically better than Tiger Woods was at 23," Norman said. "He needs a bit of confidence, a couple of victories under his belt, and he can be doing what Tiger has done in the last three, four, five years. I really believe that. He can eclipse all of us, I guess."

No. He does not even have a chance.
I don't think Tiger would hook an approach shot into the water on the last hole of a tournament with a large lead.

What Corleone said. WTF was he thinking on 18? :hscratch: If there was ever a time to bail out right, that was it. Pure stupidity.

No, not a chance. Tiger is much more than physical tools. He dominates based on his mental game alone. I don't see that in Scott.

I don't know about being better than Tiger in the long run but Adam Scott's swing is so clean that it is almost perfect. all we did today at work was look at people's swing and analyze them. Tiger's swing has gone down the drain compared to 2000. I think Adam Scott has a nice future if he can keep that swing going.

I'm sure it's no coincidence that Butch Harmon stopped observing Tiger and now stands tall over Adam Scott.

mljones99 works in a golf store IIRC.
Tiger is treading down the wrong path. He needs to get his shit in gear and tighten up his swing. It'd be nice to see when he gets back on top again there's a rival or two waiting for him.

Gets back on top? Since when was he not on top?

You recall correctly.
I think Tiger really needs to go back to Harmon. He was asked about going back to him after the tournement and he said no. He said Harmon helped him get the swing he has now back in like 98 and all he has to do now is maintenence which he can do himself. Well, by looking at his swing it has changed alot and needs more than maintenence

not exactly the tiger of old.

This (and DVDTalk) is why productivity in America has gone downhill so much. People looking at golf swings all day! Do some work....please.

Since it was a nice day on Sunday not too many people were in the shop buying clubs, shoes, balls, etc... they were out playing. So we had alot of free time :)
Plus, watching and learning from tour players and listening to our PGA pro that we have on staff explain mechanics from watching swings on tv actually helps my game and gives me more knowledge so I can help customers when they come in the shop asking me why they can't play for shit. So in a sense I am being productive :)

It'll be a long time before anyone comes along who's even close to Tiger mentally.
Tiger's physical skills (golf skills) are great, but there are lots of guys with skills like that. But none of them had/have Tiger's mental makeup.
He's Jordan. Or was before the underwear model.
Remember, Tiger was player of the year last year. Not that long ago. True, he hasn't won a major without Harmon, but he hasn't won one since he got serious with the chick either.
Is it a lack of Harmon or a plethora of sex?
The ONLY thing different in Tiger's game now as opposed to 2 years ago is his head.
Adam Scott has all the skills Tiger had/has, but his head isn't even in the same world.

Come back after Adam Scott has won 6-8 majors, and then maybe he'll be considered to be in Tiger's league.

That's a typo.
Tiger won the tournament a month ago.

I think its a little bit of both.
Why did he fire Harmon in the first place?

Harmon was getting too much publicity and Tiger didn't like Butch hogging some of his spotlight.

Damn that's the same reason he got rid of Fluff. I think Fluff was better than his current caddie too.

Ever wonder just how dominant TIger would be if every tournament was a match play tournament? He can bring his C-game and still win on intimidation alone.
Adam Scott will never command anywhere near as much respect as the players have for Tiger.
