I think Shaq makes an ass of himself sometimes (OK, fairly often), I think Kobe is innocent (and if I'm right he is being put unjustly through an undeserved and hellish experience) and I don't like the periodic infighting and bickering. Certainly the Baylor-West-Chamberlain and Magic-Kareem-Worthy teams were the height of class and this team does fall somewhat short of that.

However, you're overdoing it with the "have you stopped beating your wife" type phrasing of your question.

They are my team and I love them but yes, I'd prefer to see them act more like those other teams.

In all fairness, i don't see how the Lakers can be singled out as having a so called change in attitude and behavior. You have Iverson and his recent protests, Webber whose had his share of court problems, the Trailblazers and their countless brushes with the law. But that said, I think with the media coverage being that much more prominent these days, its unfair to compare the actions between each generation and automatically assume they had more class.

Regarding my last post in the other thread that seemed to upset the mods (although I didn't see anything from anyone else, included the person I was referring to in the post), but I apologize if it was considered "offensive". It was obviously meant in jest, and in no way did I say anything personal against Reap, but about the things he's said. My comments were about Reap's inflexible logic and reasoning regarding his view of the Lakers and Kings, much like the organization I mentioned that is also inflexible in their views. I even explained specifically what I meant in the comparisons, and in no way was calling him a racist or anything else similar other than what I just described. I guess I'll save my complex analogies for my MENSA threads and get back to the T&A and rape jokes that this forum much more appreciates.

Considering that Minnesota was lobbing the ball up without passing on every possession throughout the first half, I'm not sure if you should be waxing your apple that much on the Laker D. There's no way the trial could come before the end of the playoffs, even if things are speeded up. There are just too many issues yet to be settled. Unfortunately, depending on when pretrial hearings are scheduled, Kobe could miss some playoff games (unless he can do what he did this week).

Another great game by the Lakers - holding the best FG% team in the league to under 35% is simply amazing. The fourth quarter was ugly as all hell, but the win was still 17 I think and a huge message. Two back-to-back games and the Lakers completely embarrass the two teams in the West who were ahead of them. Now the lakers are 1/2 ahead of the Wolves and only 2 behind the K**gs.

What I just realized is that the Lakers went on this winning streak without Grant. Not that he's as valuable as the fantastic four, but the Lakers don't have a legitimate center to back up Shaq. Whenever Shaq has to sit, they put Medvedenko in at center. Most teams don't really have a good center that will hurt the Lakers if Shaq isn't in, but tomorrow agaisnt the Rockets may be a problem with Yao. Hopefully Shaq can stay out of foul trouble tomorrow and at least match Yao's floor time.

It was pretty silly; the girls talking about how the players looked, about how Karl Malone has taken every interview in the past couple weeks with his shirt off, and other things not really related to the actual game being played. My girlfriend thought it was kind of cool, so I just kept it on the rest of the game so I wouldn't have to hear her complain about how she didn't want to watch basketball ;)

Good seats or a great camera? Well, actually the seats were ok, but the camera I love - it's a Minolta DiMage 7i (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Konica_Minolta/minolta_dimage7i.asp) with a great 6x optical zoom.

Actually, the seats were pretty good - they're my dad's company seats, and IIRC, they were in section 16 (seating chart (http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/73985/2356/)) - if you look at the seating chart, how sections 15 & 16 come together, we were right where the tunnel is, so about 7-8 rows up, but I had a great view since there were no seats in front of me - just the tunnel below.

Ques about Fox Sports. The Lakers are on Fox Sports West, yet during the game they announce it as Fox Sports Net. On Direct TV, the channel is listed as Fox sports West 1 and 2. But I see other Fox Sports channels like Bay Area, FOx MidWest, Arizona, etc. etc. I would think that Lakers are FOx SPorts NET, it would be on other channels on the FOx Sports network. Lakers should just say Fox Sports West.
