I heard this on WFAN on the way home. When they mentioned it the starting bid was 5 mill and there were no bidders. Now he's off the chart.

Interesting that his #1 comp on Baseball Prospectus is Vince Coleman, entering his 1991 season. The only real difference offensively is that Vince was still able to steal bases his entire career. Cedeno can't even do that anymore, which basically makes him as useless as an umbrella in San Diego.
