Every couple weeks it seems like somebody asks if there are codes for the Columbia House CD club. Given this continual interest, I think setting up a one-and-only thread might help reduce the number of these inquiries in general, and hopefully be of some use to those of us in the clubs and/or thinking of joining. (Side note: I think the big problem is that you can't search on "CD" because it's only two letters long.)
The best codes at Columbia House are "wxr" and "wxv". The first code provides 15 for free (no s/h), with an obligation to buy 4 more CDs in the next 2 years. The second code ("wxv") provides 15 for $0.99 each (no s/h), with an obligation to buy 3 more CDs in the next 2 years. To fulfill your membership, you need to buy CDs priced at $14.98 or higher. Newer CDs are generally more like $17.98 or $18.98. Shipping/handling (unless otherwise specified) is $2.99 per CD, $3.99 per double CD, and $4.95 per 3-or-more CD sets. If you wait long enough, CH will run Buy 1 Get 2 (or even 3) Free deals. Both these deals require PSNs (Preferred Status Numbers), but you can use PSNs you may have received through the DVD club.
There are no codes (yet) at BMG. The standard offer is get 7 for free (plus s/h), buy 1, get 4 more free (plus s/h). Shipping/handling is $2.79 per CD. I understand that BMG has run Buy 1 Get 3 Free deals in the past.
If you're doing the math...
"wxr" (19 CDs) comes out to $3.87/CD with $14.98 CDs, $4.50/CD with $17.98 CDs, and $3.99/CD (27 CDs) with $17.98 CDs bought during a Buy 1 Get 2 Free offer.
"wxc" (18 CDs) comes out to $3.92/CD with $14.98 CDs, $4.42/CD with $17.98 CDs, and $4.01/CD (24 CDs) with $17.98 CDs bought during a Buy 1 Get 2 Free offer.
(Please note that special low-priced multiple-CD albums may drive these averages lower.)
BMG (12 CDs) comes out to $4.04/CD with a $14.98 CD, $4.29/CD with a $17.98 CD, and $3.99/CD (15 CDs) with $17.98 CDs bought during a Buy 1 Get 3 Free offer.
Note: With the 15-for-1 offer (see above), BMG comes out to $3.79/CD with a $14.98 CD, $3.99/CD with a $17.98 CD, and $3.79/CD (18 CDs) with $17.98 CDs bought during a Buy 1 Get 3 Free offer.
CDs look like regular CDs you'd buy in stores or online, though BMG discs may have a "manufactured by BMG" replacing the bar code, and some CH discs have "CRC" printed next to the bar code. There is no audio difference between club discs and non-club discs.
Different CDs appear in CH and BMG, some for obvious reasons, and some for mysterious reasons. Some artists' CDs (e.g., Rolling Stones, most Beatles CDs) will probably never appear in the clubs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who has the better selection?
It all depends on what you're interested in. Some artists won't appear on either roster. I think BMG may have a better classical music selection (their parent company, Bertelsmann, also owns Deutsche Grammaphon, a great classical label). Many artists appear on both labels.

I do not have a Preferred Number Status to use either of the CH music deals. Is there a way to get one another way than joining the DVD club?

Ahem, I was thinking of doing the BMG thing again late last year but had a devil of a time finding the required (and bonus) CDs on their site (too much html candy, not enough content).
While nursing a broken ankle this winter I created a web site that distills their web (not paper catalog) selections, making it *very*easy to browse them *all*.
Is this something that would be of any use to others? I don't want to post the link if it's a Bad Thing to do here.

I would think that it would be all right. In the CH DVD forum, bga does the same thing with all the titles available in the DVD club. It's usually updated weekly. You can download the spreadsheet and even sort by price or title, etc.
i am thinking of joining bmg again, so that would be a very helpful thing.

Ah, very good, same idea as mine only I handle BMG and go one step further and take the file and format it for web viewing. I guess I could make a downloadable list as well...

If you get CD/DVD club mailings -- the ones with all of the little stamps -- you should have a PSN on those that you can apply to the either club for any deal you see here that requires a PSN.

OK, here we go.
First some caveats :)
- This is version 1.0 if you will. That means there are some missing features, probably some formatting issues yet, at least one bad image link, and I just noticed the left arrow (<<) isn't correct for some pages.
- I made no allowances for multi-page breakdowns for large categories so some of these pages (e.g. artist "V") are huge and not dial-up friendly - sorry.
-I am not yet set up to update the list bi-weekly or sooner so some of this data will be stale (the dates you do see were when the web pages were generated).
- There is no search, that's what BMG's site is for :) I guess I could add that feature in, an edit box and button that would take you right to their engine...
- BMG's site is very cookie centric, i.e. your first click (for any session) will likely bring up their home page so don't despair, just click on the link again - it should work fine from then on, for that session.
- The prices in green idea didn't work quite the way I planned but I have yet to change the color so bear with it for now.
- The artist sort is atypical. I currently sort on the first token of the artist's name versus the more traditional way of sorting on last-name for persons. This is partly due to a Perl software bug (and laziness since I don't feel like reinventing the wheel). I may be able to overcome this in the future but it will take some time.
- There is no downloadable (csv) list but if desired I could probably set something up fairly quickly.
Lemme know what ya'll think.

Yes, they ship them after you've paid. This just happened with one of my orders too. As soon as the credit card went through, the order shipped almost instantly.

It's showing as on sale for $19.98 on one page, but when I add it to my cart it shows as $21.98. I was hoping to get this as a free selection after purchasing a DVD.
Any suggestions on how to solve this issue?

I think you can apply the 4 free cds they owe you as part of the introductory offer towards the box sets. You can also refer a friend and use the free cds towards the box sets so you can get away with paying for just the shipping.
Apparently, you cannot apply your 4 free cd's towards a box set. I keep trying on the website and it won't let me redeem my 4 free for the Yes or the Chicago box sets. It will let me redeem individual cd's, but not the boxes. Guess I should have checked before hand, unless anyone knows a way around this, like calling a csr?
Edit, just found this:
BOXED SET
Multiple-CD set: Already specially priced and/or specially packaged, not part of regular sale, or available as a bonus or free selection, or free with Music Points.

In an earlier post someone said as a member they could only find one David Bowie CD... just the same as a newbie. If you are correct about there being more offered to members then I'd love to see what those titles are. I was looking forward to joining CH with the 15 free discs, but I could barely find 5 CD's I wanted. Urgh.

clicky for textfile (http://www.hollowgen.net/ch.txt) The web address says that you have to be logged in to use it... or look at it. Thanks, though. Yeah, I was using Bowie as an example where someone was showing that there is no difference in selection between a member and a guest just signing up. I'm amazed how poor the CH selection is. If I wanted to get an instant Bob Dylan collection I'd be pleased, but they are lagging far behind what BMG has to offer. When CH was CDHQ that wasn't the case.

Just got accepted at Columbia House Music club using one code in the 1st post. In the welcome email, they only give me 9 selections (instead of 15) at $1.14 each (0.99 plus tax maybe???). The selections they took off are the currently albums (like Dangerously in love, In This Skin, LOTR soundtracks) <br>
I am having "Get 5 free when you buy 2 at regular price or get 2 free when you buy 1 at regular price". Would anybody please tell me if its a good deal or I should wait? I have to buy 3 more. <br>
CH doesnt have Britney Spears and Justin Timberlate; they do have N'sync though. BMG does have those.

I recently joined using the WXR code; I got my welcome email yesterday. When I signed on to the website for the first time, it is saying that my membership agreement has been fulfilled. I have yet to actually purchase anything, and my initial enrollment required no payment. It looks like CH is trying to give me 15 free CD's with no shipping or handling, and nothing more to buy.

Sweet, I hope you receive them! I tried signing up for a new account last night. I couldn't order any box sets, but a bunch of 2 disc sets came up as 1 cd in my cart. CH website blows compared to BMG. At least BMG will let you see a box even if you can't add it to the cart. they technically won't let you get box sets, or even see that they have them upon enrollment. the site was screwy, so i took advantage of that. it's typically down and/or full of glitches on the weekends, i've noticed. i just thought i'd mention it there so others could be on the lookout for it and realize that my new member application was indeed approved with the box sets.

You can only view box sets if you are a member of the club. I was hoping I could catch the glitch Hollowgen mentioned so I could order AC/DC's Bonfire but it did not appear as an enrollment selection. They definitely carry it though because I can find it when I log into my account. If you are looking for any particular sets let me know and I'll look them up for you, but you won't be able to find them for yourself without some sort of glitch.

got the code B1G3 free (BMG) worked on an unfulfilled account last week. Got an email saying the CDs were shipped on 6/4 and received them today 6/7 - the fastest I've ever seen. Also got other 4 free CDs as promised. <br>
Edited - maybe because I paid online by a credit card? The CDs were shipped right after the charge was clear.

got the email as well. The website does say that 1.99 for each additional CD after 2.99 for the first selection. However, the check out page wasnt updated yet, it still showed regular shipping @2.99 each at 10:30AM East Coast time.

Not too much later, but the site is also showing $2.99 each for me. Not so great of deal, so I'll pass.

The last time I ordered on reduced shipping it was $2.24 per cd. Not the greatest deal around, but I wound up saving a little more on reduced shipping instead of their normal 10% off sale.
If you do B1G3 for 2.99 for the first one and 1.99 for the rest it still comes out to $2.24 per cd or $8.96 in total. So you save $3. Again, it's not the greatest deal but it beats 10% which is the only other sale they run.
The last time I ordered the reduced shipping didn't show up on their site for me either but I did get the sale without having contact them.

thought i'd add this bit of newly discovered information regarding BMG:
so it seems that you are no longer able to select anything but 1CD albums with your free selections. regardless of whether or not you have completed your membership obligation.
that's a real bummer, since for me at least, this was a huge advantage that BMG had over CH.
here's the real kicker, though: new membership enrollments are apparently allowed to include 2CD sets. i've just tested this. seems a little unfair that i can't even get a 2CD set with my free selections on a fullfilled member account, but i can while choosing new member selections? hah.

Yeah, this sucks. I had been eyeing a double CD collection by Jimmy Cliff that normally isn't cheap and I couldn't use my freebies for it. I knew I should have ordered this when I had the chance.

BMG once had a strong advantage over Columbia House. On BMG, members were allowed to use "free CDs" towards the purchase of 2CD sets, or even box sets. This no longer seems to be the case, yet New Members can choose 2CD sets for their enrollment packages? I've been an established member for years, and I can't even pick up a double album using my free points? Not only does this sadden me, but it prompts me to look somewhere else for better deals.

Ok, so I got my initial e-mail stating my application was being reviewed. This was over a week ago, so I called CH to see what was going on. I was told that my application was being denied and that it was a business decision!? I asked the CSR what that meant, she was really vague, she couldn't really tell me. (I'm wondering if it had anything to do with the fact I was applying through a friend so she could get her 5 free CDs?)
Now, this wouldn't be the first time I signed on with CH, but the first time since I've been at this address with this credit card. So what's up with that, I give all my vital information and they don't even tell me I'm denied?!!!!
What was funny was the CSR said she would send me an application directly from her that would absolutely go through(?!). So I tell her since she's doing all that I want a 15 free deal which she agree to do. I'm confused.
Hollowgen
07-13-04, 03:52 PM
i'm sure by "business decision" they mean they've been "losing" too much $$ with the deal that doesn't involve anyone paying anything up front for a stack of cds. or even giving a credit card number.
iggystar
07-14-04, 08:50 AM
So you think the difference is the CSR is sending me a application in the mail that I would need to submit with a check - the money is paid up front so they would let me be a member? But I used the same debit card to join the DVD club, this I hadn't planned but received a call from them soliciting me to join?
OK, I'm back with BMG now.

I just tried one of the cheap codes at Columbia House and got a rejection letter today -- "offer expired." *sigh*
But I still have two questions about the club. I've been a frequent CH member in past years. My last membership was cancelled by them last November when they discontinued the classical music club that I was enrolled in.
1. What's the current deal on buying DVDs to fulfill your music club commitments? Can you order any DVD or is the selection rather restricted.
1a. Related to the first question, if there are expensive DVD sets available, say $30 sets or more, do you get double the amount of free CDs as a bonus? If you buy an expensive double CD on a buy one get 2 free deal, then you'd normally get four single discs for free (plus shipping). I wondered if the same applied to expensive DVD sets.
2. Since the great deal codes are now gone, are there any other codes at all that are better than the standard deal? Just what is the standard deal now, by the way? I used to get an offer in the mail that would be like 12 free, plus buy two more at reduced cost and then that would reduce the number you'd have to buy in the future.
Enquiring minds want to know.

I think I already know the answer to this, but can a discount like this be used on the required purchase from BMG, or do you have to pay full price on the required purchase to get credit for fulfilling the membership?
Josh-da-man

Pretty sure you have to pay full price for your fulfillment selection. If you get in on a buy 1 get 3 free sale, you can take the three freebies and still have the "buy 1" count toward fulfillment.
The one exception would be a boxed set -- with a "built-in discount -- that would fulfill an account. (Unless they've changed that policy recently.)

Has anyone used the WXM, WXR codes lately and had success?
I used WXR about 2 weeks ago. I knew something was wrong and I wouldn't get it, so I tried WXM last night.

Are there any other free codes out there that require a PIN that anyone has used lately and been approved?

I tried WXR and tried WXM about a week later when I didn't hear a response from CH for code WXR. I wound up getting a letter saying the code was dead not too longer aftwerwards. They didn't say which application they were responding to so I can't be 100% positive if WXM is dead but I would say it probably is. I'll probably give it one more shot just in case.
Has anyone or is anyone planning on trying WXX or WXV? They look to be the next two best codes. I'll try WXX if no one checks it out.
I'm getting a bit fed up with CH though. They keep "losing" my applications, their email customer supports seems to be dead, and their selection is getting smaller. If these codes are supposedly dead they should just remove them from their database.

The original cover is available from Amazon for $10.99, if someone wants it instead of the censored white cover (which they also have for $11.98:)).
Yes, the content is the same on both CDs. The CD was originally released with the "artwork" cover, but a lot of retailers got pissy because it showed frontal nudity on the crude papier mache sculptures. The CD was soon re-released with an alternate cover that was all white, with the First Amendment in small black letters in the middle.

I tried one of these 3...WXN, WXS, WXV...not sure which. It didn't ask me to pay the $15 but rather asked for a PIN, which I gave, and I suppose, if the code isn't dead, they plan to bill me.
I honestly don't have faith in any of them.
I called about my last application and the rep told me there was a glitch with my application. I asked her what the glitch was, because certainly she had to know something to say it was a glitch. I asked her if she didn't know anything about what the glitch was, how did she know it was an actual glitch, whatever that might be. I asked, "Does it say the word GLITCH on the computer screen you are looking at? How do you know there was a glitch?" There was nothing but silence on the other end. If they can't take the codes out of their system, they should honor them.

Tried WXM a few weeks ago, got denied with a letter about 10 days later. I have a WXV pending for more than a week, I'll reply back when (or if) I hear something on that. I agree that they need to get these codes out of their system if they're "invalid" and quit wasting all this time informing customers of that fact.
potnoodlez, if you're looking at working your way down the list of codes, I think WXJ is better than WXX. In your list you noted that WXJ includes S&H on the initial 15 discs, but if I'm reading the terms correctly that's not the case.
Pick 15 CDs for $1.49 each - then buy 3 more at regular club prices within two years! (A shipping and processing charge is added to each selection. Tax added to orders in states where applicable.)
Start by choosing 15 CDs for $1.49 each right now. Pay no shipping and processing. You may cancel your membership at any time after. There is no obligation to buy anything else -- but you'll want to stay to take advantage of our great offers.
Not that it matters, if CH is denying all codes now :thmbsdwn:

What is the deal on the CH codes beginning with "4"? -- Five fulfillments, apparently. But what is the initial enrollment offer? Do they charge shipping fee? Shipping is the big deal killer on the standard offer, as far as I'm concerned. $2.79 shipping for each "free" disc times 12. That's a lot of dough for a dozen "free" discs. And then five more to buy at inflated regular prices.
I'm skeptical of all the "W" codes. But they are better deals. I was rejected last month with a W code. I'm willing to try a 4 code if the deal is decent.

CH told me they were going to remove me from their mailing lists but I am still receiving emails for both of my cancelled accounts. I have never been this frustrated with CH before. :(
They also sent me an email asking me to re-join. The offer is 15 free cds but they charge shipping & processing. I will post the link if anyone is interesting in the offer.

They have no reason to get their sh*t together if they are getting business like usual. That is why I cancelled and wrote to them. Hopefully it's enough to make them take notice, but probably not since I'm just one person.

As a long-running expert user of the Columbia House Web site, I have found that when you have a Buy 1 Get X special that you can actually get X times 2 (note: I am talking about the music club here). The trick is to buy a CD valued at $25.98 or more (including box sets). Then you will see that instead of adding X free CDs, you can add X x 2 free CDs. But note that the free CDs must be $24.98 or less. It's a great way to stock up on double-discs. Note that this does NOT work with DVDs. If you buy a DVD, then you will only get X free CDs (valued at less than or equal to the price of the DVD, and of course no more than $24.98).
So my tip is to never be afraid to overload your cart online to see if it will give you more free items than you are expecting.

I have tried WXR and/or WXC a few times already. But each time I get a letter (in the mail) from CH saying the code is invalid. I always apply online. I don't know if calling will give me better luck. I have also had this problem with the code that I have been using for years (D6MC). I never used to have problems joining and rejoining the CH music club (different story for the DVD club!), but now they are becoming difficult as well.
My theory with the record clubs (both CH and BMG) is to take advantage of them while you can. I don't think they are going to get any better. BMG has disappointed me tremendously with their new restrictions on multi-unit sets. It used to be that you could use your free selections for almost ANYTHING. They do allow you to get *some* of them in your initial enrollment, but none from there. That is a huge blow to someone like me. One day earlier this year I was about to get the Johnny Cash "Unearthed" 4 CD set using my 4 free CD selections I had. The site didn't give me any problem. Looked good to go. But for some reason I didn't buy it. Now I try it and I can't! What a bummer. And they sell that thing for $70! There was even a brief time (3 years ago) when you could get box sets in your enrollment! For my 7 initial CDs I got a 3 CD set and a 4 CD set. But that didn't last long. But the recent decision to restrict most double-discs from being selected as free selections is the last straw. I have a long list of them I was hoping to get from BMG (especially the nice "Deluxe Series" discs from Polydor/Mercury/Motown). Now I cannot get those in my enrollment, or after I enroll. Have to pay full price for those things. BMG has a lot of nerve to become so restrictive, because the only reason that I have tolerated their abused CDs is because of the pricing. But now I don't have that benefit anymore. So why bother? By "abused CDs" I am referring to the fact that 1) about 70% of the CDs I get from them are in badly cracked cases, and 2) they of course have their own stupid, ugly bar-coding on about 90% of the CDs. I only tolerated those two things because I could get good deals with multi-unit sets. But those days are over. So my days with them are over. I am not paying an average of $5 (or even $4) for ugly CDs. Plus I can't even find enough single-disc selections that I want from them.
For me, one big thing that Columbia House has over them is their CDs are usually store-quality (with labels and all). Some (but not many) have CH's barcoding, but their barcodes are only obvious to CH experts like me. But, like I said, I tolerated BMG's sorry merchandise strictly for the multi-unit sets. I can't believe they have the nerve to ship such shoddy products. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed? I have purchased several hundred CDs from BMG over the past 5 years, and they almost always look trashy.

uh, the cds are exactly the same as the ones you can buy in the store. just because they don't have the barcodes doesn't mean they're "trash". they're just manufactured for BMG under license. the music is exactly the same.

The problem with BMG and CH is that they charge to0 much for shipping, then the CDs come with broken cases. That bothers me the most.
potnoodlez
09-18-04, 01:43 PM
Broken cases is one problem I haven't had to deal with either Club. BMG's barcode's don't bother me in the least. Their cds are perfectly fine. I think they are superior to Columbia House in every way.
nyrotic, You can just email BMG about the multi-unit situation and they should let you place an order for them through email. I emailed them and they indicated that the multi-unit deal was not dead and that I should be able to order them online, but of course that was not the case. They later responded saying I could order it through email.
My guess is that they don't want to lose customers and will let them still order multi-unit sets if they email them but they figure the general public won't bother and they make money that way.
I agree that CD clubs probably won't get any better. I one read that CH doesn't really make any money off of their cd clun anymore. It all comes from their DVD club.

I don't think there is any difference in CD quality between the clubs and the stores. the barcode is sometimes different, and sometimes there is an indication on the disc itself that it was manufactured for BMG or CH. I have used these clubs for many, many years, and compared them to store-bought versions. Really, there's no difference.
Cracked cases is a problem, but they will replace the case if you send an email.

I guess thats why CH make it harder to join the CD club with the saving codes. I didnt try the regular deal because its more expensive.

Well maybe I sound crazy in my rant about BMG's quality, but I never suggested that there was anything wrong with the content of the CD itself. I am just saying that usually when I open a box that I receive from BMG, the contents of the box always look a little weathered (and being a "completist", I do find their barcoding very annoying). Whenever I get a package from Columbia House, most of the CDs are "store quality". They are EXACTLY what the stores get--with the security tape, promotional stickers on the shrinkwrap, etc. Some of CH's CDs are not like this; you will see "CRC" near the barcode (which you can tell is different than the standard UPC used on CDs) and you will see that there is no security tape. I am a major geek when it comes to my CD collection, so I guess these arguments are only relevant to people like me. The other thing that annoys me so much about BMG is that sometimes CDs in a special type of packaging are repackaged in plain plastic jewel cases. I have bought some multi-unit sets that came in your basic plastic jewel case (with BMG's barcode, of course), only to see them in stores in much different and much nicer packaging. I have even had that with single discs. You will see that some CDs in stores have cardboard slipcases covering the CD case. If you get it from BMG, you will definitely NOT get that if it's one of the 90-whatever percent that they repackage and bar code. Same goes for cardboard digipaks. They tend to repackage those in plastic jewel cases. That is horrifying for an audiophile like me. I shouldn't complain because they are much cheaper than getting the nice ones from a real retailer. BUT the only reason I do complain is because Columbia House does this kind of thing only rarely. I will rarely buy from them going forward. I will get everything that I possibly can from Columbia House. Believe it or not--I actually pay less at CH than BMG. The trick is our friend eBay. And that my friends is another problem with BMG--you should not buy their CDs and resell them sealed on eBay. Those people that notice will not be happy. With CH, however, there is no way to tell the CDs came from CH (except for the few CRC ones you get, but at least they are much less conspicuous in their barcoding). Some day I will explain how I spend only about $2 on average for my CH CDs--not to mention that I get my DVD boxed sets in the music club for FREE.

I hate digipacs, so that's a plus for BMG. However, often the BMG are the same as the store -- for example the Astrud Gilberto and Wes Mongomery discs on Verve that I recently got from BMG. These were "LP replicas" in minature square cardboard sleeve, and the CDs were in a soft fuzzy paper sleeve inside. Really I hate that kind of packaging, but it is identical to the retail store versions.
It just depends on what your needs are. If you are focused on the wrapper, nyrotic, you're not an "audiophile", because the packaging has nothing to do with what the CDs sound like. :-) If they were using different masterings then the record club versions might sound inferior. But I haven't found that to be the case. I haven given up my audiophile pretentions, but I still have a pretty good ear. I can easily hear the difference between MP3 and CD, for example, even 320kbps MP3.
In general, though, I agree with you. Usually the CH merchandise is not identifiable as CH. Then again, I just bought the DVD/CD combo of the new Steely Dan album from BMG, and it was also indistinguishable from the store version.

BMG has gift certificates that are $7.99 per cd including shipping plus you get 1 bonus point for each cd. Could we just buy them and send them to ourselves?
They also have new release combos. For example you can get U2's new cd along with another U2 $15. I'm guessing they charge shipping so it may not be the greatest deal around.

i'm a DVD TALK/CH DVD club (semi) regular, but am new to the whole CD club scene. here's some info re: my recent experiences with "code" enrollment attempts. maybe some schlub out there will find them helpful.
tried enrolling with WXR and a DVD club PSN on 11/19. received a "thank you" email immediatedly. then nothing for almost three weeks. today i read the entire thread(s) and learned that WXR is a dead code. d'oh. in case there was any question at this point, it would indeed seem that this code is history.
today i tried enrolling with WXX. everything seemed to be going fine until i got to the point where i had to input my personal info at checkout. when i clicked "finish" (or whatever) i got an error message and had to re-input all of the personal info fields again. i could not get past this point even after 3 attempts. thought it might be a problem with the code, so i tried enrolling all over again with 4EM and the same thing happened twice. could not get my personal information to input so i could complete enrollment. THEN...
on a hunch i tried 4EM again using IE as my browser. (i'm a recent FIREFOX convert.) THIS time i was able to complete the enrollment checkout with no problem! got my (automated) "thank you" email immediately. still have no idea whether or not my enrollment package will actually SHIP but anyone experiencing similar problems enrolling with a non-IE browser might want to consider trying again with IE.
FIREFOX still rocks though yo...

not really. in fact, i'm sure they really don't even care. just as long as you cancel your memberships once you've completed your agreement. either way, they're still making money. 99% of the time after cancelling a membership, they'll ask me to re-join for the same great deal. so you can go that route as well, but you won't get any other free cds for referring a friend.
