Thainking about getting an XBOX, but sorta wanna wait til the cool color come out (ala clear green on in Japan).. i'm pretty new to XBOX stuff.. so anyone heard of the special edition of some sort will be coming out in the US? thanx

I wouldn't plan on it. The only reason they released the different colored one in Japan is because of the Xbox's overall poor sales there. They know that a lot of the Japanese like to collect things like that.

There was also a batch of green special editions made for the US at launch time. They are marked as special editions on the outside and have a special jewel on top in place of the Xbox jewel on the black retail boxes.

A few of these have hit eBay in the past, but they arent easy to come by.

I think those were originally only available for purchase by those who worked on the xbox in some way or else those who worked for MS in general.
