This is the last week for Tony. I'm sure his followers know this already but for those that didn't know or may want to catch the last show. Here is your reminder.

Colin Cowherd is the guy who's taking over the orange man's time slot. I'll miss listening to Tony on the Radio. I always enjoyed the segments with Stephen Hunter.

From what I remember, he just feels overburdened doing all of his gigs. He will continue doing PTI and writing for the Post. The conspiracy theorists feel that Rome has finally "racked him" out of the radio game, though I don't believe it.

Where can I hear it in my area?

Sports radio is a lot harder than it seems, especially if you don't add stchick to your show. But we have a great sports station here so I'm not worried.

Personally I don't care for Rome.

I'm bummed about this...I love Tony's show. But at least the dildo Jim Rome isn't taking his slot....although i'm not familiar with this Cowherd fella....but it can't be any worse than Rome. Mornings won't be quite the same without Tony though...

his show STINKS!! :)

I'll never forget him calling to torture Wilbon the morning after the Bartman game.

Speaking of ESPN Radio, does anyone know why the Sports Brothers is now Sports Bash? I know one of the brother left, but does anyone know why?

Colin Cowherd does sports talk for a Portland, OR radio station, and last time I was in town he was still the sports anchor for one of the local TV affiliates as well. He came to town when I was in high school across the river in Vancouver, and I have to say he was better (on TV at least) than most of the talking heads on the PDX airwaves - although I do have a soft spot for Ed Whelen. I haven't heard his radio yet, but I'm sure he'll be at least competent at the beginning. He's not an aggro schtick guy like Rome, he seems intelligent and his commentary was usually well thought-out. A decent replacement, in my opinion. I guess we'll find out next week.

Seacrest is a no-talent!

I wish that for his "one-hour" on Friday he would lash out against Rome. Rack me, I'm out.

Tony is only getting one hour?

In case anyone missed it yesterday and I have always wondered this. At the end of his shows when he says "When you're out on your bike tonight, do wear white."

He explained yesterday that this came from a Rolling Stones song where they says something to the sort of "When you're on your bike, wear white." Then he modified it. Why he says it I still don't know.

Well thank you very much and now I think it's time for us
All to go. so from all of us to all of you not forgetting
The boys in the band and our producer, Reg Thorpe,
We'd like to say "God Bless". So, if you're out tonight,
Don't forget, if you're on your bike, wear white....evening all.

yeah...he's explained that a number of times on the show over the last couple of years....it's all part of his "Old Guy Radio" schtick....

Tony's gone. Off to the golf course. "Andy Polly" is filling the remainder of his time.

I've only been listening for several months now and I "believe" I asked that question on here at one time and no one knew. Oh well.

so they were talking today about how they came about axing having any call-ins....referring to Tony's suspension and an associated incident from almost two years ago.....that must have happened right before I started listening...does anyone know the story?
