Pick 1 upset.. which will be the biggest upset? of course, anyone can pick #3 over #2.. but if you think there is going to be a bigger upset, pick the big one!
(9)UAB vs (4)Kansas
(10)Nevada vs (3)Ga. Tech
(4)Wake Forest (1)St Joes
(3)Pittsburgh vs (2)Oklahoma St
(5)Illinois vs (1)Duke
(7)Xavier vs (3)Texas
(8)Alabama vs (5)Syracuse
(6)Vandy vs (2)Uconn

Wake and Bama are the most likely upsets, but I have to go with Bama. Of course, there is a possibility that both Wake and Bama will actually be favored.
edit: St Joe's is favored by 2.5 and Cuse is favored by 1.

yep, they could both be favored
but seeding wise, either of those is a -3 placement as far as biggest possible upset goes

The biggest 'Vegas' upset would be Vandy over UConn. UConn is currently the biggest favorite on the board at -8.5.

Nevada over Ga Tech.

by -3.. of course, i meant 8 seed - 5 seed = 3 or 4 seed - 1 seed = 3
but vandy would be bigger at 6 seed - 2 seed = 4
Nevada would be the biggest one.. 10 seed - 3 seed = 7
and the nevada one really isnt out of the question

Trying to set a posting record today, twikoff, or is this merely epileptic seizure posting because Bama made it to the sweet-16? ;)

I voted for UAB because they have resurrected the 40 minutes of hell style of basketball (due to Anderson being Richardson's protege).
Vandy and Alabama are poised for upsets. I'm nervous about Nevada over GT, though.

The biggest, imo, is Nevada beating Tech. If they can keep up their level of play - it could happen.
I was this close to saying U of I over Duke, but it wouldn't be that big of a surprise the way the Illini are playing and the fact that Duhon is going to have to find a miracle cure for his rib injury if he plans on guarding either Brown or Williams. Ewing is going to have to step up for Duke next week.

I think Xavier over Texas is the one that has the most chance of happening. If Lionel Chalmers stays hot and Romain Sato starts making his shots, Texas is going to have a tough time staying with them since they seem to have problems with offense a lot of times.

Im surprised NOONE has voted Wake over St Joes
is it because everything thinks St Joes will win.. or because noone feels it would be an upset? there is still a 3 difference in their seedings

Nevada or UAB
It'd be interesting to see a Nevada/Kansas rematch in the elite 8 since Nevada smoked KU earlier in the year.

I think any lower seed winning is considered an upset. UAB, Xavier, and Wake Forest are most likely. But all of these lower seeds are very capable of winning their matchup. (Vanderbilt is least likely to win this round, imo. They got extremely lucky to beat NC State, down 10 with 3 minutes left.)

I'd have to go with Nevada...only because they have impressed me more than I thought possible, and Tech has looked less than stellar thusfar....

I think Xavier has the best chance - they've been playing great recently and have the momentum going into the game.

I have Wake over St. Joe's in my Yahoo bracket, so for this thread I've voted Bama over Cuse.
I don't even know much about 'Bama, but I know Cuse isn't getting much further in the tourney.

I guess you could say Ok St got screwed too, having to play a team that arguably should have been seeded higher than them...

I'll grant you Pitt, but if either of the 1 seeds (Duke or St. Joe's) loses I would definitely consider that an upset.

I wouldn't really call St. Joe's losing to Wake much of an upset.
I still think they're a little bit overrated.

I still think they're a little bit overrated. Overrated or not, any time a #1 seed loses anywhere but at the Final Four, it's an upset. And ANYTIME a #1 loses to a #4, it is DEFINITELY an upset.
That having been said, I have Wake beating St. Joe's in my bracket. :D
