My upcoming trip to Spain

Leaving for Spain next week on a 3 week vacation and was wondering if there are any special dvd releases that are R2 that are not available in R1. I have a region free player on my HTPC so no need to worry about incompatiblity.
So far I plan to pick up Scream, as I see that R2 is not only Anamorphic but also has DTS.
Seems that Malena in R2 does not have subtitles in english, so will have to wait till I get back to order R3 Korean.
I already have a recalled R1 Ed Wood SE, so no need to pick up a R2, anything else I should look for?

Are you leaning towards US films with a better treatment in Spain...OR...are you open to Spanish films as well....I could list a few from my collection if needed...

I'd be checking for Almodovar films - and also checking to see if they had English subs, since my Spanish is very limited.

Looking for American films with better treatment, however open to some really good spanish movies, especially with English subtitles.
Was thinking about some Penelope Cruz movies like Abre Los Ojos as I really enjoyed the Cameron Crowe version, Vanilla Sky.
My wife is from Spain, but our movie tastes are completely different.
