Ron “Faarooq” Simmons has been released from WWE, effective immediately, according to the WWE Talent Relations Department.
I din't see anything on this here so I figured I'd post it...

Given the recent trends, at least he's not "deceased."

a couple more months of this and the WWE will have their perfect roster - HHH, HBK, Undertaker & Austin and no one else.
they're dropping like flies over there.

Is this real? I caught some of Smackdown last night while basketball was in commercials and thought this was part of an angle where the APA would get fired if they lost a match.

The Smackdown storyline was shot Tuesday and was just meant to set up the APA breakup and possible feud.
Two days later, life imitated art and he was fired in real life.

Classic!
Just to follow up..he was let go because he didn't want to go into rehab. WWE Officials felt he had a severe problem.

maybe they should toss Micheal Cole to the curb and have him do commentary with Tazz.

Bring back Woman and Butch Reed and reform Doom(w/Ron Simmons) either that or have Teddy Long as there manager.

hopefully if he has a problem he gets help....I would hate for him to turn out like so many other wrestlers recently due to drugs

It's not like he was going to win a major title soon anyways. He'll show up in NWA/TNA.

I have always been a big fan of Ron Simmons, back before he was in Doom. I remember when he won the WCW title with his patented shoulder breaker. At least I think that I remember it...
