Real World 3/16
The males of the house are so damn desperate. Randy's really pickin up some skanky hoes.
Ja: "Man that's not lady-like. You don't pull out your front tooth on the first date, you gotta get to know the person first or something!"

This episode bugged the shit out of me.
These ungrateful bastards are complaining because they have to do a smidgeon of work on a boat in beautiful weather in San Diego. What an insult to all the people out there who:
a) can't even get a job
b) actually have jobs that actually *do* suck
Spoiled ingrates, this bunch is.
On the other hand, this episode has been the highlight of Jacques' comedy so far. He keeps it real and tells it how it is, and you can't help but love the guy for it.
He said exactly what I was thinking tonight -- how can Frankie bitch and moan about getting cold but suck down the cigarettes like no tomorrow?
And that girl wants to go home and have kids? Are you f'n kidding me? Can't wait to pay their welfare with my taxes.

As lame as the mandatory "job" is on the show, it's even lamer to take the leap from disliking it to quitting. These idiots receive an all but free ride for five months while on the show and then income solely due to their affiliation with MTV for YEARS afterward on the "lecture" circuit. It's not like they ever have to do anything remotely difficult, either.
Is Frankie's CF actually true? 'Cuz I don't believe her.

Personally, i think they have the right to quit if they don't like the job. This is the "Real World" right? If you don't like your job, you can quit. It doesn't matter how easy it is, or how "fortunate" you think these people are for being on the show. Now, i think it's pretty sad that they were late for a noon call time, but I mean come on, Cameran said she basically tugs on a rope the whole time. That seems pretty damn boring to me and i certainly wouldn't want to do that.
Sorry, but if that were you on the show, i dont think you'd be thinking "well after this is over, MTV is going to take care of me so i should just suck it up for 6 months." Besides, we're 12 episodes in the season and we haven't see one interesting thing come from their job. At least in previous seasons, their jobs have led to something worth airing. No wonder they have to show Brad getting drunk over and over again.... nothing else is happening.

Working their assigned job is a condition of being a cast member.
In other instances, bosses have fired cast members* or cast members didn't qualify**, but none of these were members' choices and MTV quickly reassigned them.
Nobody's ever quit on the show.
* the chick who brought alcohol to the day care center
** several cast members failed the swim test to be lifeguards

The comment Ja had after observing Randy kissing the removable tooth-girl was priceless.
Something about wondering if Randy is worried if it will fall out while they are kissing.
