How do you reset the memory of a GBA/GBC game?

I just got Metal Gear Solid for the GBC...I want to start over though, is there a way to do reset the memory? There is nothing in the game to do this...at least that I could find. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I don't know about GBC games but you can open up GBA games little screw on the back and take the battery out and put it back if you really wanted to reset
you can't just delete your game?

not sure about metal gear solid, but for another game (advance wars), it was a combination of holding down buttons and pressing another one.

it may be similar.

For quite a few games, including Advance Wars, the combination seems to be holding L, R, A, B, and then hit Select. You could try that.

I'll give that a try. There isn't anything in the game to delete the save game which doesn't make any sense to me. I'll give it a try, thanks.

I bought Puyo Pop used, and wanted to clear the game so I could start fresh.. only to discover that there was no way to do this. Someone suggested saving the game, and turning the power off while saving. It didn't work with Puyo Pop (I ended up returning it and buying a new one) but I found out the hard way that it does work with Mario and Luigi...

Worth a shot at least.
