Natural City / Tube - good blind buys?

well , based on the trailer and some other reviews it does not look that that bad of a movie. I like the sci - fi , action / drama based movies and wondering if this should be included in my next order.

UPDATE: Well , i just started to check out TUBE and that looks interesting also. Anyone check that one out yet?

I reviewed it in my last review thread I think. too lazy to look for it. Basically I said it started out really good and ended up sucky. Overall just slightly above average I think.

Yeah, the start is very good and intriguing but somehow just fizzles out near the end.

It tries a lot to be Blade Runner. It you liked Blade Runner, you should get a nice kick out Natural City, though. It's not horrible, it's just okay. Don't expect too much and you shouldn't dislike it.

About the DVD, it's really good. The DTS track is really good and the picture is great. The extras are also very nice but if you don't speak Korean, they won't do much for you.

Natural City isnt great, but is good for a watch, nothin excells and it passes by fine, but not a masterpiece at all, has some very nice moments and some excellent action, but that doesnt make it a good film.

Tube is fantastic, and I got the Limited Edition Korean packaging and mine is signed by the lead actor!!!! lucky me!

Great film, very well made, action packed and a lot of fun, not a masterpiece again, but well worth seeing, and a lot better then Natural City ever will be

The trailer for this movie looks so badass, but I've been hearing too many negative things. Wish there was a place where I could rent this.

This film was tailored to have awesome trailers... That's all I heard forever on message boards, "Oh man, the Natural City trailer is so bad ass... Did you see it?".

I always watch the trailers of the film I just watched and when I saw the Natural City trailers I was like, "Man, that's ****ing cool. Wait a minute, that wasn't the same film I just watched was it? Nah, couldn't be..."

Tube is being released by CTS in April so you can get it at Blockbuster in a month or so. It's a fun movie but takes itself too seriously. It's probably better than Natural City because it doesn't fall apart at the end. It's silly but fun.

The Korean DVD is also good, with a great DTS-ES track and some nice behind the scenes stuff.

mine wasn't signed... either way though, it's an annoying case that doesn't fit on the DVD shelf right and the discs fall out too easily. Plus, the movie wasn't that great.

Again - I'd rank them as such...

Natural City > Tube > Yesterday

Natural City started out really good and then sucked at the end... even so, it had alot more flair and style in its little pinky than Tube had in the whole film. Yesterday was just completely boring. Keep in mind that none of these films are all that great.

skip it man, a total style over substance
and in most cases the style didn't work and the action sequence were horribly filmed

so far I haven't been impressed by any of the Korean sci-fi

I'm looking forward to Casshern from Japan

Like anybody cares but a nice piece of trivia: the guy who played Cypher in Natural City was one of the stunt drivers for Tube.

Hey, Casshern looks pretty cool. Here's a site with many links to the trailer and teaser footage.

http://www.themoviebox.net/movies/20...iler-page.html

They also have a rough English translation of the trailer:

Today, I am pleased to announce to the whole world
... this is the New Cell.

They've made it this far already...?
I… was infected.
What is the rumor?
Although my friend was fighting too
Only I survived

(Medical talk) -- "It's over 10 million" ....
The New Cell is not yet regulated by the government…
What’s going on?
The army (is doing something or other...)
I wonder if (someone, pronoun unspecific) will/is fighting the wind person…
What did you do?!
Its use on you turned you into a New Human…

I will kill all human beings.
(heavy rock)

This is bad…
Hurry up!
I made one more before that…
I am not a human!
A thrown away life

Reincarnated with an invincible body
Fighting an iron devil
If Casshern does not do it… who will?

Casshern...

Um, so I'm buying that as soon as possible. I'm there'll be this 10000 yen supermegaset sometime at the end of the year.

The movie's starting in Japan on April 24th. Take a guess for the DVD release...

The director used to be a fashion photographer and music video director. I think it's his first feature.
