While stationed on “special assignment” with London’s Scotland Yard, NYPD undercover detective Eddie Arlette and his partner Monty Pippin are sent to investigate an armed jewel theft with one gunshot victim. The two eyewitness shop assistants have no clues to offer except for a gunshot wound in the belly, an inability to ID the perpetrators, a missing security tape, and the thieves’ briefcase’s manufacturer’s name. The impossible task of solving the crime takes a positive turn when an informer tips off Scotland Yard about inquiries for a “fence” to move diamonds. Upon questioning, Charlie White, the indiscreet inquisitor, is as cool a customer as they come. Never bending once, the only thing to crack during Charlie’s questioning is his smile as he is released after a chap admits to the crime and turns himself in: Georgie Pendergast. Upon questioning, it’s clear, at least to Eddie, that Georgie isn’t their man. He’s released. But, why would he admit to the crime?

I really love this show. I wish Bravo would put this show back in production, but I guess there is no chance of that. I guess I will just have to settle for an eventual DVD release. I hope they pack it with extras. I want a commentary for every episode.
