Schindler's List Packaging Poll - Keepcase, Digipak, 2-disc, Flipper?

With all of the confusion surrounding the Schindler's List packaging, I thought I'd start a poll to see how many people get the many different versions of Schindler's List.

If you could post what version you received/bought and where you bought it, that would help out people who were looking for the same kind of version that you got.

PLEASE ONLY SELECT THE VERSION(S) YOU'VE ACTUALLY PURCHASED

I purchased the box set through Amazon. From some of the early reports it sounds like there is a good chance it will be broken.

Not necessarily - Amazon.com shrinkwraps DVD inside a bigger box when you have multiple movies on order (atleast they do for me). Probably a sure bet it WONT be broken when it arrives.

Most of the stuff I order from Amazon is not shrink wrapped. Usually it is thrown into a box with only air bags for support, which doesn't do a very good job of keeping an item from moving or shifting around inside. However, surprisingly most everything arrives in excellent shape even though I prefer the shrink wrapping. Also Amazon ships the majority of my orders from their Fernley Nevada warehouse which probably is the reason.

But my biggest concern about the box set are early reports of breakage because of extremely fragile design of the packaging. I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens. My order is already shipping soon.

Most likely different stores will only receive one variety of Widescreen and one of Pan & Scan, which is why I'm curious to see the differences between stores like Best Buy, Walmart, and Target, and in which areas, get the different versions.

I notice that 6 people have already purchased a widescreen double-disc version. Was it Region 1? Where did you buy it?

I'm hoping to get a 2-disc keepcase version, but I don't know where to get it.

I'm also hoping that those who chose that poll choice didn't get confused and pick the version they'd *want* to buy, not the one they actually BOUGHT either online or at a store.

Yeah, if anyone can point me towards a place to get the 2-disc version, it'd be much appreciated. I'm passing up the DVD if all I can find is the flipper.

It looks like everyone who bought it so far (even thought it doesn't come out until Tuesday) has gotten a 2-disc, not a flipper. Good news.

Can anyone post where they got their 2-disc set?

Will Best Buy be getting the 2 disc or flipper? Will the deluxe box set come with the 2 disc or flipper?

It's not a vote - I just wanted you to check the one you ACTUALLY BOUGHT.

I'm wondering how many votes were for what people wanted & what they actually GOT prestreetdate (especially since no one who "voted" said where they "got" it). You might want to close this & restart it so that we get accurate poll answers & stores (online or b&m) where purchased. Just a suggestion. If I can avoid a flipper I'll do it even if I don't get the best price. I'd rather pay an extra buck or 2 to get a 2 disc set.

Holy crap, like I needed one more thing to worry about. I'll be hoping to get a 2 disc keepcase, but I guess I'll have to see what I can find.

Universal's website lists ONLY the "Gift Box" and the 1-disc "Digipak" version.

There is no 2-disc version listed .... or any "Keepcased" variant. I don't think a two-disc version exists (for commercial sales). If it did, it'd be listed on the following Universal page. After all, they produced it; they oughta know what versions exist. .....

I can't imagine this release has 9 freakin' versions. That's gonna break records.

I actually haven't seen a digipak version yet - only keepcases. However, I don't know if they're double or single discs.

So regardless of what is listed, the keepcase version is the only one that seems to be selling in B&Ms and via e-tailers so far.

Check the poll results above.
