Digital Cable or Digital Dish for HDTV?

I have a plasma t.v. and don't know which is the best to get either Digital cable or Digital Dish.
Any advise?

yes, it is spelled a-d-v-i-c-e.

It all depends on your area though. I know where I live we don't get ESPNHD through Cable.

Depends on your area. You can definitely get HD stuff through satellite, but you may be able to get more HD stuff through the digital cable, depending. Find out about what channels each has and then base your decision on that. Satellite isn't carrying lots of HD programming at the moment, although they will expand the HD lineups soon, I feel. About time too. But in many cases, local cable companies either offer lots of HD, or none at all. So check your cable provider's lineup first.

Another cable advantage is, no one year contract. You can try cable to see if you like it, if you don't you can switch to dish. Just a thought. Good luck.

thats why I went with cable roozilla! I called up the satellite guys and no way was I commiting to a one year deal without some sort of trial period. Told time warner people I was thinking about satellite and they put a very nice package together for me. A "digipic 2000" package its called here. I got:
High def tier - 4 high def only chans (inhd, inhd2, hdmov and some other one..)
HBO and Showtime packages with all chans including "on-demand"
digital cable package
high speed road runner wireless

all for ~$80 including equipment. I can drop the high def tier and save $7 a month but they're definitely worth it hehe. Good luck and enjoy!
