Schindler's List heads up..

I'm hoping it's a bad disc -- will update when I exchange it..

Seems around the first layer transition -- Chapter 14 just passed the hour and six minute mark (most prevalent) bad pixelation, freezing, screen jumps, the works. I tried this on three set-top players at my house and on the computer, each having near or the same symptoms.

Since you tried it on other players, it sounds like an encoding error.

Yeah, let's just jump to conclusions without ever considering it could be a defective disc or something.

Oops. Maybe I misworded. What I meant was YOUR particular disc could have been defective.

Just received my Gift Set and case arrived cracked! Was well packed but this is not very practical packaging for mail orders. Might get my replacement sent courier and hope the less handling in transit might help.

I really hope this was just your disc, because I'm really looking forward to picking this up on Tuesday. Thanks for the heads up though.

Good luck on getting the "gift set" without a screwed up outer case... Seriously, all indications - to this point - are that it will be a common problem.

The - very few - reviews (to date) for this title mention nothing of a faulty pressing....

I'll be sure to pick this up at a B&M while paying cash in order to quickly get my money back or an exchange.

Got my copy of the regular edition, not the box and must say the disc is perfect. Plays perfect... didn't even detect the layer change.
So stop worrying.. he just got a bad disc.

And about the boxset... yeah it looks great, but is kinda flimsy and won't last opening and closing a couple of times without cracking.

If anyone lives in the central valley in California, the Target in Stockton put Schindler's List out already.

Anyone have a good picture (or pictures) of the Collector's Giftset? All the DVD sites I've been to seem to show the standard front shot only. I'd like to know what this one looks like, including all the stuff inside. Thanks!

That's good. Because I just went in on my lunch break and they took them all down. Nothing but big a big empty display where they were. I asked the guy what happened and he told me they had to put them back.

the copy from my blockbuster has a serious glitch at the 1.26 mark that forces me to go 6 minutes forward then manually enter a time at 1.29.22 to be able to continue watching.
there is another one at 2.06 mark.
this is side one.

there are no marks of dirt or scratches it was never played before i used it.

I think Target's price was ridiculous, like $22.99 or something. I didn't pick one up.

The gift set case is cheap as hell. We got them in at work and although at first glance the set looks great, it's really cheap.
