Quick Babylon 5 season 5 question.
I know there are quite a few Babylon 5 threads, but I "feared" looking in them in case they gave any spoilers for season 5. I never watched the show on TV, but thanks to the DDD coupon a while back, I grabbed the first three seasons, then rushed to Best Buy to get S4 once I finished S3 . Unless season 5 is a real let down (which, if it does continue the B5 storyline, don't we already know what happens?), B5 will shoot to one of my top 5 favorite TV series .
I was just curious if season 5 took place immediately after season 4 (specifically the last shot, since otherwise it would be just a bit in the future ). Pretty please don't spoil anything in your answer, and if it can't be answered without spoiling anything, stating that would also be an acceptable answer. Thanks!

The fifth season picks up pretty much where the "bulk" of the fourth season ended, namely the "Rising Star" episode, in much the same manner each season before it did.
"The Deconstruction of Falling Stars" is a standalone piece, though you can expect the Garibaldi hostage situation to be addressed in the fifth season.
Actually, when the series was in production the series finale was produced as part of the fourth season, but when the series was picked up by TNT for a fifth and final season, the finale was with-held and placed at the end of the fifth season, while "Deconstrucion" was shot as part of the fifth season and pushed back to be the final episode of the fourth season.

You've never seen "Sleeping in Light", the series finale?
Only two TV shows have ever made me cry. Snoopy Come Home (granted, I was 7), and "Sleeping in Light".

IMHO "The Very Long Night of Londo Mollair" (from what I remember haven't seen it since it aired ) makes the 5th season worth it alone. Here's a list of the eps if you want to read through them to get a feel for it http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/eplist.html Granted the pacing of the 5th season does seem a little off since they were forced to wrap everything up essentially in season 4 in case they didn't get a 5th. Still you've come this far you might as well finish

Season five has teh same problem that Return of the Jedi has. If Jedi was not the follow up to one of the best movies EVER, then it would have been a really awsome flick. However, standing in the shadow of what has come before, it's merely an OK film.
Same thing here - if season 5 were a season of Voyager or Enterprise, we would be singing it's praises to the heavens. But compared to seasons 2-4, it doesnt hold up as well.
