Got this from AICN

http://mp3content01.bcst.yahoo.com/proot3/PubShare10/yahoomovies/3/5801997.mov

Looks worse than the first trailer, something along the lines of LXG; and now that it's PG-13 (Mignola's source material I think is very R rated), I'll have to say my expectations have gone down a bit, but I'll keep an open mind and reserve final comments for the finished product.

Kind of funny though how a movie with a title like "Hellboy" would be marketed as a PG-13 action adventure flick. I don't see families unfamiliar with the book to necessarily be lining up with their kids to see this one, but seeing as how they're marketing as something like LXG and the Mummy, maybe it'll make more money this way.

I thought it looked great. Looking forward to this movie even more now.

It did have that LXG look and sound to it, I'm sure it's just the editing and way they pulled it that made it sound that way. I'm still going to watch this opening night.

I'll be honest...it looks like LXG only in over the top characters and production design. And well...that wasn't what was wrong with LXG. It was the non existent script, lame story, and lack of interesting characters (though they did look cool) that made that movie a bomb. IMO.

Now will this be good? I think so. Sure it would've been nice to see this follow the R rated formula but...let's be honest...in many cases it's either no movie or pg-13 movie. It's money, and sometimes you have to make sacrifices.

So I think this looks pretty cool. Hopefully it's good...but all signs point to a fun action adventure movie, hopefully less mainstream and more Mignola. I'd be disapointed if this ended up being your regular ol action comic book movie, with unique looking characters. That's what the trailers seem to portray, but the comic book was somethin else. So we shall see...

I liked LXG and I think I'll like HELLBOY.

Thanks for the Trailer.

Looks like it is leaning towards the LXG route, but a little more fun.

I've been rereading the Hellboy comic series lately, and PG-13 seems right on for a rating. The comics have no swearing, and the violence isn't that much more extreme than a Marvel or DC comic. It's not like it's Sin City or Preacher.

The old trailer made me feel kind of iffy, but this new one was awesome. I am there.

I think it looks a little to much like fanboy fodder. Not mainstream enough to be a big hit. Of course that is only an opinion.

looks to have stayed true to the source material...

Thanks for the link. I just watched the old Hellboy trailer a few days ago (it's on The Missing DVD in good ol 5.1). I might just have to see this when it comes out in April.

I don't like how this new trailer was cut (just doesn't seem like a finished trailer) but the movie looks awesome regardless.

Just checked out the trailers and little preview doc on the free best buy Hellboy preview DVD last night.

Looks terrible IMO.

Is this the trailer that was made to air as a TV commercial (“Just skip to the end. How do I kill it?”) and is really short or is this another theatrical preview? (I can’t look at this at work and I’m getting curious as Hell.)
nevermind. I was able to view it as a flash on the official site.

Waiting for this has been driving me crazy. I even wore my BPRD shirt to work today as a gesture of solidarity.

Think they're talking about the new tv commercial. Haven't heard anything about a new Theatrical trailer. Besides it comes out two weeks from today.

David Goyer's major studio scripts:

Blade
Blade II
The Crow: City of Angels
Dark City
Puppetmasters

He's a .200 hitter.

I love Del Toro's direction, but the screenwriter's record doesn't give me just a ton of faith in the quality of this film or the upcoming Batman Begins.

There's a new trailer before Secret Window. The ending part was pretty cool.

While that list may not be amazing, I liked Blade well enough and Dark City was brilliant. Personally, I think this movie looks like it could be one of the better comic adaptations we've had in a while.

Hmmm. In my opinion, three of those movies were excellent (one ended up being one the the best sci-films of all time). One was horrible (but I forgive him; it was his first). And one probably looked neato on paper, but was not directed by Proyas (the only guy who can seem to make a good Crow picture).

So I'd say that he's more of a .800 hitter. Never read the comic. I don't read comics. But with Del Toro, this can't be bad. Though, I must say that I liked the first trailer more.

I just hoped that its better than LXG. I prefer the first trailer. I felt that the new one offered to many spoilers. I really hate that.

After seeing the preview on the giveaway DVD, my confidence level is slightly raised. Looks like they have taken a great deal of shots and origin material from the comic, and Perlman seems to play Hellboy down to a T.
That said, I still see this movie having problems once it hits theaters as the only way a lot of people can look at this and get psyched IMO is if they are fans of the comic. If they aren't, I could understand them being pretty "meh" about it, as the comic has a cult following at best.

It seems to make no sense to me why they aren't tailoring the previews around the character of Hellboy himself. I mean, he's the title character, this bizarre looking thing, with a really interesting background, and yet they expect the average filmgoer to say "oh, yeah, red dude with stumpy horns, cool." And one character says his name and we're supposed to be like "oh, okay, right."

A couple of my friends who are not usually in to movies said that they want to see this movie. I thought it looked stupid at first but now the more I see of it the more I want to go see it.

Jepthah: that is a good question. Seeing as how a lot of people are unfamiliar with him save for seeing a T-shirt at a mall sometimes, they need to give more focus to his character.
