Help w/ mutli region TV video connector

I finally found a PAL/NTSC TV here in the states (no easy task) but i am having some trouble with the video connector for this TV

Sorry for the blurry picture.

The silver outside of the connector has a small bump on the top and bottom and inside the white part of the connecter are two small metal "prongs" that seem to fit around a piece coming from a male (or female?) opposite connector.

Does anyone (from Europe?) have any idea as to what type of connector this is (A BNC connector?) and is there any way to convert it to component?

The TV i found was a JVC AV-20ME

It's hard to tell because of the blurry picture, but that does look like a BNC connector.

I apologize for the blurry picture...i have no picture taking skills at all.

I'm going to stop by a high end electronics store and see if i cant find a solution to this problem.
