i hope this question is close enough to home theater to warrant the post.
heres my story... friend of a friend is opening a tanning salon type place that she wants to as cheaply as possible wire each room with speakers. roughly 10 rooms all tied into one audio source. being able to turn each room off and on independently would be a plus but not necessary. any ideas of a cost effective way (i.e. do it yourself, radio shack, x10 product type way?) to tackle this.
i know of say speaker selectors that allow you to hook up to 4 pairs of speakers to a source. trouble is that seems to require speaker pairs like a right and left in each room. she only needs really one speaker in each. she has no need for a beautiful sound system here, just something to have going on in the background?
any ideas of what could be done?
thanks in advance for any help.
