Shouldn't they get at the very least some kind of stipend. I know its been mentioned that the Big Brother/Survivor contestant get a stipend for every week they are on the show, I don't know if its a "reward" or some kind of SAG mandated payment (though I don't think being on a 'reality show' would fall under SAG guidelines.)

Why do you think they all show up for the real world/road rules chalenges? They don't cast business savy people, and even if they did, most real worlders are there expecting it to be their break-in in the business....

They receive a stipend for the Challenges. Not positive about the actual Real World, though.

Does the stipend count towards the $150,000+ they could win or is it seperate?

"Each cast member receives around $250 per week, plus their house expenses paid (not including food. That's why everytime a parent comes over, they cook). Anything else they want, they have to pay for. Plus, they don't get to take any of all the cool stuff you see in the house."

I'm not sure if they get paid extra when they are given jobs to do (like in Vegas). So they get a stipend, but not any "reward" for being on the show. So I'm not sure if you win the bet or not...
