nude bomb was good, but still didn't capture the tv series luster for me.
that being said, I'd gladly pony-up and get this if it ever was to be released on DVD.

Definately concur on this one. Be sure to get the voice heard and vote for it at www.tvshowsondvd.com

LVM, just voted for it. With F Troop coming out, if this came out it would complete my favorite 2 shows Nickelodeon ever aired (albeit about a decade and a half ago).

I was just saying to my cousin this morning how glad Iwas that Have Gun Will Travel was coming to DVD,now, if they would only put out Get Smart and the Addams Family I would be content. Great shows.

One of my favorites. Have "The Nude Bomb" on laserdisc and "Get Smart Again" on DVD.
Have most of the episodes on SVCDs/VCDs, but would love to get a real DVD set. A Don Adam's commentary would be awesome!

Paramount should get on this and quick. One of the best shows of all time, and it holds up very well. It would likely be a huge seller across all 5 seasons of the show.
They'd also be able to get the participation of Mel Brooks, Buck Henry, Don Adams and Barbara Feldon.
Lets petition Paramount right now. Who's got a contact?

I'd definitely put my money down for Get Smart TV sets.

I'd buy the entire series in season sets.
I'd also buy THE NUDE BOMB and even the poor FOX revival series from 1995.
(As stated, the best of the reunions, the 1989 TV movie GET SMART, AGAIN! is already on DVD).

Yes, but it is out of print and hard to find. I've tried.

I just found the Get Smart Again DVD for 99cents at Suncoast, you might check the cheapo bins. It looks like Eve Digital Entertainment is on the Spine, or Hearst Entertainment (on the back cover.)

I would LOVE to see Get Smart on DVD and I would buy the whole series as well, but don't hold your breath.
Get Smart has never done very well in syndication on TV. It has a devoted but relatively small audience.
I taped 20 hours worth of episodes when Get Smart was on TVland a couple years ago. But unfortunately, each episode was edited by about 3 minutes to make room for all those commercials.
I would love to be able to see the original episodes in their UNCUT versions.
For example, one of my favorite bits was the "cone of silence." In almost every episode in which the cone of slience appeared it was CUT OUT OF THE SHOW by TVLand to make room for commercials!
arrgh!!
Anyway, let's start building a groundswell for a Get Smart DVD release.

Our local station ran uncut GET SMART episodes for years; I managed to record almost the entire run back in the day.
It's true, I can't watch it on TV Land because some of the best scenes are missing.

Does anyone know who to contact at Paramount? I believe they own the rights to the show. This show definitely needs to be released on DVD!

Funny thing about the Nude Bomb, I got the laserdisc to replace my old VHS copy taped off of NBC (yeah, it's seriously old, think "Herb" from Burger King). But the funny thing is, the NBC version had a lot of extra scenes and differences from the LD. Can anyone say "special edition"? =)

I stand corrected -- just found Get Smart Again (reunion movie) on DeepDiscount (for only $5.99). When I searched there and a few other sites some months back, they did not have it.
I am going to look into PetitionOnline to get a petition going for Get Smart on DVD.
Is Martin out there? Surely he or someone he knows at Paramount can help us.

Word of warning regarding the "Get Smart Again" DVD: I've read numerous comments about the terrible quality of the transfer. If you're a fan, pick it up, but don't expect a great quality release.
On the HTF message boards one of the TVSHOWSONDVD guys said they had contacted Martin at Paramount about this show only to find out that Paramount didn't realize they owned it!
That pretty much tells you that it's not being worked on at the moment.
Still, I've got to believe that this most excellent show will eventually find it's way to DVD. I would say that it is one of my top 5 favorite sitcoms of all time. Unlike some other shows, it holds up very well with repeated viewings.
