Queer Eye 2/17

First off, Whistle, the salon from tonight, is where my girlfriend gets her hair done and where I just went for the first time a couple weeks ago. Will (the stylist featured on the show) is a genius. I'm only ever going there from now on (that's my hip tip, I guess.)

And secondly, is Vince Neil going to be on my TV every night or what? But I don't care. He seems to have about the best attitude of anyone in his "peer group." It may just be all promotion to him but I can see him digging the show.

the first episode I fell asleep on, it was painfully dull - even the usual Carson quips, which are very funny, couldn't keep me from drifting into LaLa Land.

I was surprised what sneaked by the Bravo censors 'the ***** (cat) hair' and 'rimming' remarks.

And some unblurred middle-finger salutes. I thought it was a really good episode. I loved the way they reconfigured the apartment with the matching doors. Very cool.

Don't forget, Bravo is not a broadcast channel so they aren't in the current controversy. I'm sure they have a censor, but they are much more lenient (sp?).

$50 (plus tip), although prices are going up March 1. I've never paid more than $15 before but I've discovered that there is a huge difference and I'm never going back to Astor Place, (where I'd had every NYC haircut since freshman year of high school until now.)

Besides, living with my particular girlfriend is like an ongoing episode of Queer Eye except none of it's free!
