I recently picked up the Fight Club special edition dvd at Best Buy. When i opened it the second disk fell out becasue the little pegs that go through the middle of the dvd and hold it in the case are too small. Anyone else ever run into this problem? I'm afraid the the dvd is gonna move around inside the case and get scratched.

I've gotten broken cases before, I usually either take it back to exchange it, or use an extra if I have one.
I once received an order from foxstore.com and 2 of the five disks had a broken spindle in the middle, they were the ying yang style, bottom half broken off and floating around, no idea how that could have happened....

Some of the multi-disc Fox sets I have like Fight Club and X-men have the same problem. While those hubs that are supposed to hold the discs in its place aren't broken, they seem to be the wrong size or something. Although the disc will stay in place when I put it in, the moment I open up the flap, the disc is already loose. None are scratched, thankfully, but it's still a nuisance.

The official name for this is "floaties". Thats why I always turn the dvd up on its end a few times and listen to the rattle by my ear before I buy it.

I've done the floater test for years. it works well for most broken teeth cases....but it's not always possible to tell. many special treatment cases protect the dvd even if loose....but as was stated earlier, will slide out as soon as you flip a few flaps.
out of almost 1,500 titles...I've only brought home 3 or 4 loose/scratched discs.
