Good Doom 3 Video!

No sound, but was still pretty cool and a tad creepy. I especially like the swinging light in the bathroom. At the end it states that it's running on a G3 video card, which means it would run pretty good on a xbox.

It's been a slow day in the video game world.

I could tell in the video that it missed much of the graphical flare apparent in videos using the latest and greatest cards. But thats good news, it will be more scalable than I thought, I figured it wouldn't run on anything less than next gen graphics cards. I will probably be upgrading around the time this comes out anyways, as my old p3 550 with a geforce2 won't cut it.

I feeling like I need a nap after that video.

It's cool and I'm impressed but that sure isn't what I was hoping for. The lighting effect in the bathroom is great but why does that light continue to swing over and over? I can see if you shoot at it but unless the AC in that room is cranked the light shouldn't sway 24/7.

I'm interested in the game but it better have more than good looks. I was it all with this game and it better deliver.

Hypnotic....

Nice to see it will run on a GeForce 3 though... I suppose he made that with the leaked E3 demo, or whatever that was... if there were no creatures at ALL on screen, that actually ran fine on my old GeForce 2, but it all went to hell when anything else showed up

Finally! A game based on slow, calm, rythmic breathing.

I saw some areas on that video that weren't in the leak...

Looks good anyway - only thing I didn't like about it was the fat zombie walking down the stairs - they didn't quite get that right. That's okay though - guess we aren't quite there yet. Perhaps they should have the zombie run down the stairs.

It's a tech demo. Sheesh.

Looks great (except for the clunky stair walking - yeah, I caught that too, Trigger.)

It was kind of boring for me. Also I didn't think it looked too great when the fat guy got shot. Didn't look like much physical damage.

The room with the swinging light was interesting. Not many games have dynamic light sources light this. Notice how the shadows behave as well as the mirror effect on the side wall. The creatures still need a little work to smooth out the walking motion. I'm sure this will all be fixed in the numerous patches that will follow the initial release .

The lighting in this game is simply amazing! But the animation on the the zombies/that monster look like shit. Seems like they are going for the resident Evil scare ya kinda gameplay. Not my cup of tea but the engine definitely has alot of potential.

Only if it's a 486DX. If you have the SX, you're out of luck.

Only if you buy a Pentium Overdrive chip. Those things are awesome! It will make your 486 as good as a Pentium 60!

As long as the final product matches up with the atmosphere and mood of the leaked e3 demo I'd be pretty happy.

Oh and yeah, the fat zombies were pretty lame.
