is anybody watching this tonight?

I"m thinking about ordering the webcast for the main event alone...it would be awesome if Eddie won the belt tonight.

anyone have any thoughts or predictions for tonight?

ddie winning the belt was great. He deserves it much more than Brock, who is VERY overrated imo.

The 3 way match was great as well. There were several strong matches on the undercard also.

The light heavyweight match was good because they let it go for a while.

Jamie vs. Nidia was good comic relief also.

One of the better ppv's in some time

I was at the PPV & it was one of the better PPVs in a while

Rey vs. Chavo was awesome
the Triple threat match was pretty good
& Eddie vs. Brock was a off the charts, best title match in a long time

The rest of the card was pretty weak though.

Would anyone care to post the entire results from the night?

Cena was supposed to come here to Ft Hood last wednesday to sign either the Undertaker's book or their new WWE CD. He ended up cancelling. :( Guess I can check the .com to find out if he was at the PPV, right? :p

Sable and Torrie Wilson come out to introduce the PPV.

Cool Brock/Eddie video package.

WWE Tag Team Titles
Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty (c) vs. Basham Brothers and Shaniqua
Back and forth tag action. They teased a stinkface a couple times, but the heels take control. After a while Shaniqua tags in, does very little and tags back out. Shaniqua back, sets up Scotty for a piledriver, but Scotty tags in BIG kish and goes to work. The Bashams try to stop it, but the champs set up Shaniqua for the stinkface. One Basham breaks it up, and Shaniqua covers, but Rikishi kicks out. Shaniqua sets up for a clothesline as Rikishi gets up, he reverses into a Samoan Drop. He drags her to the corner, gives her a Bonzai drop onto her stomach, and pins her after the ref paused due to her arm being under the ropes. Either he moved it or she did, and the ref counted the pin.
Winners and STILL champs: Rikishi and Scotty

Long Noble/Nidia video package. When was this Noble promo?

Boyfriend vs. Girlfriend
Blindfold Match
Jamie Noble vs. Nidia
Nidia has new theme music, kinda country influenced. Nidia spends the early part of the match trying to avoid Noble as he runs around chasing her. Then after almost grabbing her boobs, she ducks around him and pants him, which knocks him down for a 2 count. More chasing around and some cute comedy spots. Then she goes for some punches to his back and he takes her down. He gets up and grabs her by the hair and actually pulls some out. Nidia goes to the top rope and steadies herself. Noble takes off the blindfold, grabs her and tosses her down and puts her in the Dragon sleeper for the submission win.
Winner: Noble

After the match, he takes off the blindfold and taunts over her.

Backstage, Josh Matthews talks to Kurt Angle about why he took out Cena and Show on Smackdown. Angle said its all about Wrestlemania. Cena comes over and says if he’s gonna attack, he’ll do it to Angle’s face, then attacks.

APA vs. The World’s Greatest Tag Team
Pretty formulaic match thusfar. Bradhshaw gets a HUGE clothesline from hell on Haas, but Benjamin gave Bradshaw the Money Clip for the pin.
Winners: TWGTT

Goldberg arrives and is escorted to his special front row seat. He has trimmed his grizzly beard WAY down.

Goldberg/Lesnar video package.

Paul Heyman comes down. He cuts a promo on Goldberg. He warns Goldberg not to interfere, and goes on and on about it. Lesnar walks down as Heyman’s voice cracks. Lesnar grabs the mic and challenges Goldberg to come into the ring, but Heyman pleads with Goldberg to stay in his seat. After a long taunting, Goldberg responds and jumps into the ring. Lesnar takes off his shirt, Goldberg does too. Lesnar charges into Goldberg and goes for a quick F5, but Goldberg floats back and hits Lesnar with a Jackhammer! Goldberg exits and Heyman forces security to take Goldberg away in cuffs. Hardcore Holly came down and Lesnar cleared out.

Hardcore Holly vs. Rhyno
Match begins with Hardcore in the ring. Hard hitting match goes back and forth for a bit. Interesting audio problems in the middle as we hear the Spanish commentary for a bit. Holly appears to be in trouble and then hits an inverse DDT out of no where for 2. Back and forth, Holly is ailing and Rhyno sets him up for the gore! He hits it and Holly tumbles to the floor. Holly gets back in at the 10 of a count out and I almost thought that was how it was going to end. Holly comes back in, hits the Alabama Slam and gets the pin.
Winner: Holly

Chavo/Rey video package.

WWE Cruiserweight Title
Rey Mysterio (c) w/Boxer guy vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. w/Chavo Sr.
Whats with the Boxer guy’s hair? Chavo slows the match down early. Back and forth, with mostly Chavo controlling. Rey had a flurry of offense including a plancha onto the floor, but Chavo took control again. The Boxer guy hit Chavo Sr and both were sent to the back. Rey begins to rebound some, reverses Chavo into a bulldog. Back and forth action continues. Chavo hits a front faced sitout suplex for 2. Chavo sets up Rey for a belly to back superplex, and goes to take off Rey’s mask, which allows Rey to push off Chavo and get a moonsault for a 2 count. Chavo is close to the ropes. Next sequence is when Rey hits a 619, then does a senton, but Chavo rolls through into a half crab. Rey grabs the ropes and Chavo eventually lets go. Chavo Sr. gets up out of no where and pushes Rey off the top rope. Chavo rolls him up for the pin and the title.
Winner and NEW champ: Chavo Jr.

Apparently Chavo Sr. was not banished and was selling the punch from the boxer Guy and was waiting the whole match to interfere.

Tale of the Tape for the triple threat match.

#1 Contender’s Match
John Cena vs. The Big Show vs. Kurt Angle
Lots of pairing up, and three way action and such. Much of the match has been focused on working on the knee of John Cena. Cena hits a FU on Show! Angle Slam on Show! FU on Angle, Angle floats back and rolls into an ankle lock. Show is up, and hits a chokeslam on Angle. Cena rolls up Show for 2. Chokeslam on Cena, Angle pulls him off before the three. Ankle lock on Show and the Big Show is screaming his HEAD off. Cena breaks it up, shimmy fist drop on Angle. Five finger shuffle on Angle blocked, Show grabs Cena, Angle grabs Show for a German, but Show hangs onto the ropes. Angle sends Show to the floor. Angle goes after Cena and has a leg lock, selling a knee injury from the match.
Winner: Angle

Eddie/Brock video package

WWE World Title
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Eddie Guerrero
Wow it’s like 10PM, this match is going to be very long. Eddie works over Lesnar’s legs on the steel posts. Lesnar rebounds in the corner and does a super delayed fisherman’s suplex. Lesnar slows it down with a neck submission in the middle of the ring. Eddie with his back against the corner, and Lesnar charges into the corner, Eddie moves, Lesnar’s knee hits the corner and Lesnar flies to the floor. Eddie now has an STF on Lesnar in the middle of the ring and the crowd is RABID for it. Nice. Eddie lets it go and works on the legs. Eddie puts on the figure four. Guerrero going for a bunch of submissions. Lesnar with a desperation release German suplex, then Eddie charges at Brock who hits an atomic drop for 2. Lesnar is busted open and not too happy about it. This match seems entirely on the match with a real focus on submissions. Lesnar yells at Eddie constantly to “DIE”. Eddie up top for a frog splash, but Lesnar moves and Eddie hits hard. Kick into an F5, but the swinging of Eddie’s feet knocks out the ref. Brock goes to cover but folks, we don’t have a ref. With the ref out, Brock goes to get his title belt and brings it into the ring. Lesnar stands over Eddie with the belt as the crowd erupts, and yup, Goldberg is here. HUGE spear on Lesnar and it gets a GIGANTIC pop! Goldberg has the handcuffs broken on his wrists in a nice “little thing” touch. Eddie chant as both Eddie and Brock are down, and Eddie stirs to cover up Lesnar. The ref stirs and covers, but Brock kicks out at 2. Eddie is up and spots the title belt. The ref is back out or ailing at least. Eddie waits for Lesnar to get up, holding the title. Lesnar gets up, does an F5, Guerrero reverses it into a DDT onto the title belt. Guerrero up top and hits the frog splash for the pin and the title.
Winner and NEW WWE Champ: Eddie Guerrero

Guerrero hugs some fans, has the title and then hugs some family members at ringside.

Angle v. Guerrero and WM could be a hell of a match. I haven't seen Smackdown in months but I'm so glad Eddie is finally getting some much deserved respect.

Now if only some of that would be sent Benoit's way...

My friend caught the PPV and said the only great match was Guerreo and Lesnar. He did give big props to Goldberg, but we are real big Goldberg marks.

Eddie deserves it more that Jericho did when he won the unified title.
