Should I start Elmore Leonard or Chuck Palahniuk next

I'm close to finishing Dan Brown's books and have been wanting to start reading books by these two for some time now and was looking for some opinions on who to go with first. Also feel free to throw in any suggested order in which to read them.

Both are great, you can't lose. Okay, so you've got a gun to my head, I'm going say read Chuck's Fight Club... but then pick up Elmore's Get Shorty.

Being that Chuck has a much smaller body of work, you may want to start with him, because if you start out with Elmore Leonard's books it may be a very long time before you get to Fight Club or Survivor by Chuck.

That being said, Elmore Leonard is easily my favorite writer simply for the dialogue and characterization in his books. My favorites are Glitz, Get Shorty & Out of Sight (which are great movies). I was also suprised to like Tishomingo Blues. He also has a huge collection of westerns which I haven't had the chance to try. His crime books are just so good.
